Think they are all in the main group now.

From what I gather the Hushovd, Cav etc. group is 2 mins behind the BMC led group that has Cancellara, Gilbert etc. in it.

Lot of confused information to be honest - have a feeling the CN live feed is regurgitating rubbish from this forum.

Cav & Thor are definately in the same group, which as far as I can tell is the main peloton.

Yep, but minute to two minutes behind the O'grady/Canc group.

Would be somewhat of an anticlimax if too many of the favourites lose out because of a crash.

My best guess is the 2 minutes refers to freire et al, and the earlier katusha/lotto small group is essentially waited for the main peloton.

You would be wrong. It's a full on pursuit between katusha/lotto and the cavendish group

No Freire was already in the second peloton as I saw Boom next to Hushovd + Cav

I think Hushovd is in the front group. Friere in the second group. Visconti could be too because his team are working hard on the front of the second group

hahah got to love cippolini. he is on the phone with the gazzetta guys. and the commentators told him that in the past few years there has been some sort of "fair play" in the peloton that would make people in the front in this kind of situation but that wasn't happening today and asked for his thoughts on the situation. and his words were "show must go on"
