you pretty much did. when you said it was disappointing that some favorites got left behind so early in the race. so to please you they should all be there in the last 500 meters what would make the 297.5 k's of racing before that boring

No, you're making the same mistake i'm afraid.

You're allowed to be disappointed with something without wanting to change it like a spoilt child. Sport is sport, I can accept any result, I just don't have to like it.

I would have rather the peloton stayed together until the capos, but they didn't, I am disappointed, and that is life.

Actually this could end up a bit like worlds last year when it seemed like everything was lost for the main peloton. Once all the helpers in the frontgroup are out the group will be caught and the guys back in the main peloton will probably have more energy left.

Bennati in front group too.

Surprised LEOPARD arent riding in that case. They've got everyone up front.

Sort of - given the other riders in the group I would be careful talking of Griepel as a given for any sprint - if I was riding for another team in that front group, Griepel would not be the 1st person I was worried about dragging to the line.

No, but if Gilbert attacks, he's the one who won't have to do any work and will therefore likely be freshest.

I'd fear Boonen and Petacchi above him from that group, for sure, but if Greipel is allowed to just sit on then he's a threat.

This is what I'm thinking as well; I love this today!! As unpredictable as MSR is ever going to get.. great edition in the making!

seems like im the only one (certainly on twitter) that thinks this lead group will be caught.

Leopard trek got 4 or 5 riders in the lead group and doing no work at all. Bit naughty letting BMC Lotto and Katusha do it all.

Seriously though, screw BMC. Half the peloton falls and they decide to hit the front. What a honorable tactic. Not like they will win anyway. And no ACF, I don't care! :p
Meh, it was about 100km out when it split. That's just racing.
