El Pistolero said:Big Phil would rather win Luik 2 times than 1 time Ronde and one time Luik.
Think that says enough about how he rates San RemoEven lower.
Shouldn't Cancellara have powered off as he according to the posts always does?![]()
The Hitch said:No, i repeatidly said I dont think Cancellara would because hes got bigger targets.
So, fail. Fact is you said Cancellara cant sprint and that Gilbert would always beat him in a sprint. turns out you were wrong. You also try to turn the tables about how Canc didnt win, when he doesnt need to, hes already won, whereas Gilbert, who by now could have had LBL Worlds and MSR, still only has GDL.

Great win by Goss though

I was honestly surprised to see him up there as his best result so far was a 33rd placing in Qatar final ranking.

Libertine Seguros said:To be totally honest, I think the parcours for California this year is really good.
I just think the commentary will be embarrassingly sycophantic and oversell what the race can offer. This year it should offer some really good racing - but they'll try and sell it as being the equal to or better than the Giro, which always hurts the race's credibility in the eyes of many fans.
Christian said:lol yeah the guys at Sporza were pretty darn mad
Cobblestoned said:Can't see something similar here in Germany
Havetts said:Yes, I was watching Sporza too. The co commentator was really mad, kind of justified though Pozzato did nothing but ruin Gilbert's attempt.
El Pistolero said:For a puncheur it's not really hard to get in such a final of San Remo. It might be the hardest one to win, but it's also the easiest classic there is.
Glad I'm not Pozatto right now, he's going to get a lot of critique again.

Christian said:I must admit I rarely every watch cycling in English commentary, so I can't really compare - but Ulli Jansch and Karsten Miegels are pretty cool too though
True, but on the other hand I think if it hadn't been Pozzato, it would have been someone else

Cobblestoned said:But I can't imagine them - not even Phil and Paul - considering the ToC bigger than Giro or equal to that.
