BMC is the new Rabobank? Kristoff leaves the team and lo and behold, he wins a race!

Van Hummel his old, super ugly self again in the sprint. If only he could turn all that lateral energy into forward movement...

Damn, I was about to post the same thing!:D
Sacha Modolo one of the riders that came down according to Rai.
Not sure if Demare was the FDJ rider.

As a sprint, at bit of a one sided non-event.
Not exactly your who's who of sprinting.

The Danish commentators said it was Demare - and with Huta and Haddou in the top10 it could very well be true.

Finally TOAK delivered, good on him!

Now for the deciding time trial in two hours.....

I know some people are going to be talking some smack about me on here about TGAK so I'll just say that you are allowed to open fire on me!:D

Kristoff is absolutely useless without a train. He can't position himself. Even when he occasionally gets into a good position he'll be exhausted from the effort. BMC never had anyone decent to assist him.

But with a HTC-like train, as we saw Katusha pulling of today, he's a top sprinter for sure.
That is true. He can't position for crap without a leadout but when he does get it right (which is rare) he is very quick.

He won one race. At BMC last year he won a race and had multiple podiums so he hasn't proven that theory yet!:p

OK, ACF - you're walking right into this one :D

The only race Kristoff won in two years at BMC was the Norwegian road race (oh wait, is there any other BMC riders there???) and got six podiums besides that - he just got a win and a podium (and a fourth place) in 1½ day with the support of Katusha.... We're still just a around 1/3 into the cycling season.

Btw. who is BMC's best (most promising) sprinter now, disregarding Thor? Do they have another "amazing talent" like TOAK??? ;)

Haddou is riding for Europcar so that's not much of an indicator, but according to the result is must have been Demare who did hit the deck

FJD twitter confirms it was Demare. But he should be ok.
Arnaud Démare est tombé dans le final : ecchymoses aux fesses et au tibia. Mais ça va.

If anyone should wonder, Kristoff is a terrible TT'er. I don't think he has ever been training on his TT bike.

I wouldn't be so quick to call him terrible. Completely untested would probably be a better word. Like he said after the win, he's never really ridden an ITT on max effort before so who knows. Sprinters can usually pull out pretty decent ITTs at time though this one is perhaps a little too long for that to come into play.

I hope he can pull off a decent result.

Damnit. I missed TGAK's first win for Katusha... Oh well, Ignatyev will rip the field in the Time Trial to take the overall (Yep, you heard it here first), and I WILL be there to witness it.

But seriously though, I'll go with Westra

Sergent - Durbridge - Westra is my prediction. Although I hope to see Leif roll back the clock to 2006 and take stage + GC :D
