Sounds like it would have been great to watch, shame there was no coverage.

I doubt there would be much visible - let's see what the RAI highlights manage tonight!

So someone from the break won afterall...
Which break, was he in the original one? There seemed so many. I think according to Cadel's wife, the first group split - so was those riders the ones that ended the race do you think?

Not too sure, but Brutt was 2nd too who was also in the first split. I guess they were fresher than the guys who had to bridge. Either that or no one actually made it across.

Serpa and Brutt were 10 seconds ahead of another group. So is this a reverse then of the other race (Sardina, I think)?

EDIT: Ah no, that was Sella

no serpa was in the 31 group in the wind that pulled away. so serpa came from all the way back

anyway a colombian winning in the snow and wind, changing times :)

Uhh, my post very much states that Serpa was part of the original group, my question is whether or not anyone actually managed to come across to that group.

Clarke is the only one who wasn't originally named in the group of 31, but that could have been a mistake.

ok I read it like you said he was in the original break which he wasn't. only the first 31 were finishing the race none from behind I thought that was already very clear. as only 29 guys were still on route.

In the pics it looks like he shaved it off. Maybe that helped him win! :D

Well taking it off seems to have brought him luck - so may be Savio was right :) Makes him harder to spot in crowd though.
