This is bad news for the viewer.
Do you recall the fanatical obsession with broadcasters/media at this year's TdF discussing the stage record?
It was tiresome and now it will be repeated in 2024.
I dread it.
Good news (seemingly bad for you) is that there may well be a repeat a few weeks later.
He still has Olympic gold aspirations for Paris.

Not the friendliest for sprinters, certainly hilly, prime Cav likely is close to the final but don’t think he’ll be next year.
Plus the team sizes mean that the race is likely to be uncontrollable - 5 x 4 person teams, 5 x 3 person teams, 10 x 2 person teams, the rest individuals.

I can't see any nation taking a sprinter as their first option

In the US there is an unhealthy obsession with all things Cavendish, from Lance and George to all on the staff of NBC- Peacock that cover the biggest races. The only thing that can keep a Cav party from happening is Taylor Swift.. and if Cavendish can find the time to attend one of her concerts that will seal the deal for American media,

I like that Cav continues through 2024. And I like most that finally, his people openly communicate that it will be all about TdF stage victory number 35.

I think he has won almost everything he could and can win. Number 35 would be something unique, something special. More wins than Merckx. A record for a very long time, certainly.

2023 showed this project is possible. Good luck to Cav!… :)

Discaliamer: Jan/Feb races can be a bit of a crapshoot for where eveone's fitness is at.

That being said, great win for Cav! Its always good for the brain to win.
