Except for everything about them being different, this post is spot on! 🤣Vingegaard always gave me the same vibes as Hinault.

I caught the sarcasm. Brilliant post actually.
Why would it be? He rode for himself in Paris-Nice and the Dauphiné last year. And he had a chance to go for stage victory in the Tour last year, where Pogacar closed a... what was it... 4 minute gap on him on the final climb?Ving abandoning is a blessing in disguise for Jorgenson to elevate himself and earn an opportunity to campaign a grand tour in 2026.
Yeah up there with the likes of Max Schachmann 😁Back to back P-N is quite an accomplishment
He already had the offer to ride for GC in the Giro this year. He gets exactly the opportunities he wants. He was happy with how last year went and wanted the same program this year, as he didn't feel ready to lead a GT.Ving abandoning is a blessing in disguise for Jorgenson to elevate himself and earn an opportunity to campaign a grand tour in 2026.
.His personality is more like anti-Hinault. Remco actually resembles Hinault more.

Despite the moans earlier when his schedule was announced, he must also be quite happy with riding PN as co-captain.
The week was big, I think it was for me the hardest Paris-Nice I've done, I've done four of them now, and this one, really every day felt very challenging and we just never had a day off. It feels good to win, a relief, but it also just feels special that at the beginning of the week I had in my head that I wanted to win this race, and even with Jonas there, my objective was to win myself. And I'm just glad that the boys committed to both me and Jonas at the beginning and then once unfortunately Jonas had to go home, then they committed to me fully, and it just feels really good. Like you said, I'm proud of it. I'm not going to say I'm prouder than last year, because also last year was incredibly difficult and was interesting winning, not expecting it and having all of a sudden a bunch of pressure.
He's not GT GC talent. Week races and classics - yes, GT - not. They have perfect balance with Vingo right now.Ving abandoning is a blessing in disguise for Jorgenson to elevate himself and earn an opportunity to campaign a grand tour in 2026.
Why he is not GT GC talent? He did top 10 in the Tour 2024. A rider can be GT GC talent without winning those races, if he does good results. He's not GT GC talent. Week races and classics - yes, GT - not. They have perfect balance with Vingo right now.
The wisdom is he is just too big a guy to win mountain stage after mountain stage. Why he is not GT GC talent? He did top 10 in the Tour 2024. A rider can be GT GC talent without winning those races, if he does good results.
The team gave him the chance this year, but he said no. I think he can plausibly get a ~5th place in the Tour this year.So Congrats to Jorgenson on defending his PN title, well done! When will Visma give him a chance to lead a GT? Next year, methinks.
Visma have him a chance to be the leader in the Giro this year. He didn't wanted it.So Congrats to Jorgenson on defending his PN title, well done! When will Visma give him a chance to lead a GT? Next year, methinks.
