We (the other members) have no idea.

But Ianfra has been perma banned - airstream, perma banned, Dr. Lexus, perma banned - were all these running sock puppets??

Was airstream perma banned? I recall him giving a "I quit" speech.

Nice deflection. A certain poster has now been banned 4 times in just over 3 months, considering one of those was a month ban, that's an impressive record. 6 times this year altogether and Gods knows how many times in total.

If you are talking about Ryo even the hog looks like a saint compared to that nutter.

Im sure most of those bans were a result of a certain poster and a certain poster complaining to the mods about every single little thing that is against The Rules.

And besides, certain other posters deserved the ban just as much after ruining a certain thread but somehow it is only a certain poster that gets banned.

That's the thing about posts that are against the rules.

They are against the rules.

Keep the rules, nothing happens. Simples.

That's the problem when certain posters decide that the rules don't apply to them, and then those certain posters decide to turn their personal dislikes into trolling.

I repeat. Keep the rules, nothing happens. Simples.

MV? I doubt it, as it took the mods a long while before arriving on scene.
Also, MV recently made a plea (quite correctly) to the mods about a post - a mod eventually arrived and took decisive acton......
by deleting MVs post and leaving the offending post in place :D

And I did not complain or report a post - indeed The Hog said they had reported one of mine (don't worry,I didn't believe him either).

And when you say people "ruined a thread" - it was not posted on in almost a week, very obvious what was being done.

I agree it was obvious that Hog was trying to start a fight with his initial post, but you (and everyone else) knew what you were doing when you jumped in and started arguing.

Thus I think everyone that contributed to taking that thread off topic deserved to get banned as much as Hog. (Yes I do note that Hog was banned for "baiting", but if no one responds to the bait does he still get banned?)

As for the moderation, deleting the off topic posts is fine and telling everyone to try and stay on the topic. But other than that I dont remember any great injustice being done. Perhaps some mild "personal attacks" but im sure everyone can deal with that and move on with their lives.

Anyway Hog was only banned for 2 days so its not a big deal either way I suppose.

VickerMartins, you really should apply for that moderator job man.

Edit, in football there is a rule 'asking for a card will result in a card for the asker', how about that on the interwebz?

That was the question I asked - are or you just trolling?

We are not playing football - and there is a report feature in the forum software as well as that the mods encourage it.

I'll give that the consideration it deserves.

You need to get a better analogy. Pointing out fouls isn't looking for cards. More to the point, it isn't against the rules. Boy, some posters really find it hard to accept 'their guy' being in the wrong...

Boy, about missing the point.

I do find it nausiating some members are suddenly every now and other post pointing to the forum rules. Apply for that well respected non - payed job of moderatorship peeps. Dont try to be the best choirboy on the planet, it will backfire.

The hog? Sorry, missed his ban, as usual must be correct, do you think he/she will miss a night sleep over it?

No it wasn't.

This was the question you asked (question is in bold):

On another matter:

Yes we encourage you to report posts - and tbh I'd rather have an extra 10(.000) reports, even if there's just one I can 'use' - but we also encourage you to just report the posts, and *not* to 'alarm' about a problem in the thread.

So, you are trolling.

I asked you earlier, you deflected with a question and now put up more crap.
Heres is the exchange.

Was the question I asked in my second post the same as that in your post? A yes or no is sufficient.

No - it wasn't, your question was a deflection.

So, you are trolling.

Your nausea is of neither concern nor interest to me.

There appear to be a number of posters who believe the rules don't apply to them - specifically the rules on no personal attacks and sourcing allegations. They seem terribly upset that the rules do apply to them. Sucks to be them.

They aren't special. They'll just have to live with it.

The hog? Sorry, missed his ban, as usual must be correct, do you think he/she will miss a night sleep over it?

I've no idea. Why should I care? His sleep could not be of less interest to me. He's just an anonymous internet nobody, like the rest. It ain't personal. Just about keeping a fair playing field. One set of 'cool kids' don't get special privileges, and being sarcastic won't change that.

Then what do you call this?

Trolling?

Netserk,

Let me be clear - you are trolling with your continued deflection.

I also believe you are now deliberately baiting to set me up for a ban
I do not trust you or have any faith in your abilities as a mod.None.
Indeed you have already banned me once for no reason.

Do not in any way, edit, delete or amend my post.

If you have a problem with any of the above - then report it to Daniel, (his email addy is here somewhere, I am sure you can find it) and I will take direction from him.

Otherwise - answer the question about the other posters, stop defecting the issue, or just drop it.

No Mas, I'm not 'baiting to set you up for a ban', and you were the one who started with the deflection. I may not trust in my abilities, but I will nonetheless edit your post(s) if they require so. I have never banned you for no reason. It's a (good) reason to ban someone for re-posting moved/deleted material several times after being explicitly told not to do so. Dishonesty about one of your prior bans doesn't do you any good.

...

Here's your answer: No. Airstream weren't a sockpuppet.

...

Will you answer the question that you deflected, before we had our conversation?

Eshnar said:
whoa  you found the secret way to prevent us from editing or delete your posts!!!

Easy but for some reason no one ever thought of it...
Airstream 2.0 wrote the same, and guess what happened....

The funny thing is that it's usually only posted when the poster knows that there's something wrong with their post...
