I used to pick on the moderators all the time but a while back I decided to stop when I realized how ridiculous it looks. They're people just like everyone else and they're doing the best they can.

This is a cycling forum. The whole thing is ridiculous. Doesn't mean people can't speak out when they feel someone is ruining the ridiculous cycling forum for them

If you want all the good high volume posters to leave the forum then you are on the right track.

Too late. Most have already left for PCM Daily, Velonation, and Velorooms.

Apparently I received a warning last week for an offhand remark asking if Dr. M was smoking wacky weed. It was one sentence within a paragraph. Talk about over moderation. Makes one all warm an fuzzy about returning to such a clown show.

Maybe I will check in next week to see if thing have gotten worse. It is like watching a train wreck in super slo-mo.

Really? I'm a bit surprised - that place was pretty dead the last time I checked, though I admit that has been a while ago. Went back to check it out right now and it seems it has picked up a bit, but still pretty small in comparison to this place.

Though the posting here has drastically wound down - not sure if it's just the off season or if there is almost no one left :( Can't really remember how it was in previous years

I was going to include a lot of alternative forums, but I am lazy.

Actually, if I thought it would not get deleted or locked then I would start a thread about where members are currently posting so we can find people.

That would be good. Apart from here and Velorooms ( a little as it is sky dominated) i dont post elsewhere but would if knew where was worth it.

I see why it's not possible but it would be interesting to see where some posters ended up

Bike Radar if you get really desperate I guess.

Seems to have pretty good traffic but very skybot infested.

why give that mental institute free advertizing?

Why?

The few times i checked there, they were obsessed with the clinic, with certain of its posters and some of the more popular twitter users (eg SuzyCY), who they in private mock and attack.

If they have no trust in the strength of their arguments and instead want to cry and whine in private about us over here, let them, who cares?

And likewise, if you care about what they think over there, I suggest going over there, registering an account and trying to discuss it with them, rather than gossiping about it over here.

And they are free to come here and confront those who they disagree with, by using "arguments" and taking part in "discussions".

Until they do that, they can hide and s****** all they want, its a weak man's position.

As is talking about them here. That place does not have anywhere near the traffic of cycling news, and for several reasons will always lag behind these forums. If you don't think very much of them, the absolute worst thing you can do is start talking about them here.

The Lion of a pack doesn't chase after every challenger. The lion that does by definition shows his weakness through desperation. The strong lion does his own thing, and only if another musters up the courage to challenge him, does he show his strength.

Edit:huh, sn*gger, is on the banned word list. Why bother? Anyone who tries to use the racist term is going to end up getting banned anyway. And i doubt anyone has ever tried.

But likewise I assume if it wasn't banned and someone did use it, then people would be outraged at the fact that it wasn't banned... you can never really win with the banned words filter. I only feel bad for Hillary S****

did you? receive a warning? How many infraction points? Or did you get a message, which you assumed was a warning, but didn't bother reading.

And was it for the offhand remark asking if DrM was smoking wacky weed, or did you also happen include a personal attack directed at another member? Because funnily enough the offhand remark asking if DrM was smoking wacky weed is still up.

Conspicuous by its absence is Roadbikereview. It's been a while since that site had any relevance at all thanks to the arbitrary, heavy handed and biased moderating by Coolhand. How that jerkwad is still there is a mystery.

I never critique mods. It's a hard job to do. I also never call anyone a troll.

But I'm glad they banned the Vortex. He was on special assignment to mess up this forum.

So glad he's gone. Now things flow better.

Can't understand why they let him go on so long.

People over at BikeRadar call this place "the asylum".

I doubt anyone can mess up the forum quite like you can, you have a special gift for it.
