Just started reading the live commentary on CN and was struck by this
"Former Sky rider Kanstantsin Siutsou has moved to the front and started setting the pace with Great Britain riders sitting just behind him. That must be so he can help out Hutarovich. There can be no other plausible reason. None."

Well one reason is he is on Dimension Data for this year and is helping Cavendish.

Looking good for Sagan to defend his title

He needs to get rid off Cav to win, which can be difficult. If Sagan won against Cav in the sprint, it would be suprise for me. Of couse, the 250km in the dessert may have crucial effect on both of the, so maybe Kristoff is the man to beet. Being in the first echelon didn't do much good to sagan, cause only kittel and greipel are caught behind from his main rival. Or did I miss somebody?

Not a good job from team GB. Only one guy to help Cavendish and Blythe can't go the distance.

2 more teammates for Cavendish from the break atleast.

It won't be a mass sprint.

The sarcasm was pretty hard to miss, tbh

Just tuned in. Belgians destroyed the peloton judging by numbers they have and by sheer logic?

By mass sprint you mean sprint of that group of 30 riders? Because if some late attacker won, it would definately be some show. I'd enjoy it.

Turned corner at top of course into crosswind, belgium and norway put the hammer down and race blew apart

I don't understand why the gaps are fluctuating that much. How hard is it to get reasonable GPS measurements in the *** desert?
