Since his last win, Jonas Vingegaard has finished 2nd 12 times and 3rd 4 times. I don‘t believe this has ever happened before.

Since he didn't win the Tour, he is probably aiming for the most important rece:
"Most top tens without a win". But when he knows, he is that good, he put a challenge for himself - most TOP 5's without win.
So that's what he is aiming for.

That sounds like a late career Contador stat tbh.

This wounds me. I checked and he got 9 second places before winning in 2017. Also somehow he apparently raced Abu Dhabi Tour and I swear that never happened.

It still doesn't beat the Saganth and Schleckond career arcs for me.
