Can't imagine him not riding the Giro before go slaving for Froome next year

It'll be like Froome and Wiggins in 2012.![]()
I am not so sure he was bad earlier on in the Vuelta, the team might have told him to lose time.

What a monumental waste of talent. Let Geraint be Froome's super domestique. Hopefully Landa will get free reign to lead at the Giro. It would be quite interesting to see him battling Aru, Porte, Pozzivivo, and potentially Chaves.

There's no doubt at my mind Landa will lead Sky at the Giro next year, then maybe get to the ride the Tour in support in Froome. Let's face it that's a better deal than he would get than if he stayed at Astana and forced to work for Aru and Nibali.

Also, was he really weaker than anyone in the first week of the Giro? Let's not forget that he was working for Aru (and by extension, Porte and Contador) on every climb.

It will be a big surprise even given Sky magic if Landa will improve his TT to the level of being competitive for a GT win. With the rumoured 70K of TT in next year's Giro I don't think he stands a chance. Dumoulin on the other hand...

No way. Landa's performance yesterday was amazing for Aru. When Aru was struggling, Landa basically kept the pace so high that nobody could attack, but not quite high enough to drop Aru or put him in seriously difficulty. He can't keep dropping back to talk to Aru personally, or shout back through the peloton; much more sense to do it through the radio.IndianCyclist said:Landa & Aru appear to be not friends. Landa kept looking back to see where his leader was and Aru was at the back hiding not willing to talk to Landa except for thru the staff.
