I have confidence that Mikel can win next year's Giro. Not saying he definitely will, but I think he's the favourite.

Think he'll at least Top 10 and win at least two stage races and one of them could be Paris-Nice.

More likely Giro del Trentino.
I predict Andalucia and Basque Country. :D

(Although Froome might repeat Ruta del Sol)

Bad news for me. The work he did to Contador in le Tour 2013 was great.

Mikel said it wanst sure he was leaving Sky, even that the most likely was him in SKY, but with that informatión I think he will be in Tinkoff

It's official he's heading to Sky:

"Sky offered me something that Astana did not. They did not have another leader placed and that explains making this decision. This year I have shown that I can win a Grand Tour and for that I need a team around me, which Sky offered me."

Good. He's motivated and ready for the challenge.
I agree he can win the Giro against Nibali, but he needs to improve ITT, and the accuracy for details of the Team Sky will help him.

I suspect he'll have a role similar to Porte which means this could be his race program next year:

Algarve, Paris-Nice, Basque Country, Trentino, Giro, Tour.

The Plan obviously being to win some week long stage races, the giro and then working for Froome at the tour, maybe with the licence to go in mountain breaks later in the race.

i'm not sure for the Tour, it depends on Giro's result. i think if he will win it, he 'll go for the Vuelta.
anyway, it could be the right schedule

Landa has the climbing ability to win the Giro but the question is if he can handle the pressure as a leader and avoid bad days. I think he can and that we will see some incredible things at the Giro.

No Tour for Landa. He signed up to be a leader, not helper.

It's Thomas role to be Froome's super domestique (and plan-B if he crashes) in Tour. http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/thomas-weighs-up-options-as-team-skys-plan-b-for-tour-de-france/ My guess is that Froome and Thomas will share the same program.

Froome: Andalucia or Algarve, Paris-Nice, Catalunya, Romandie, Dauphine, Tour.
Landa: The starter race Froome doesn't ride, T-A, Pais Vasco, Trentino, Giro.

Froome's team: Froome, Thomas, Poels, Boswell, Kennaugh, Roche + a couple of others.
Landa's team: Landa, Henao, König, Lopez, Kiryienka, Siutsou + a couple of others.

That is good news because it would be sad to see Landa waste his talent as a super domestique. Still I would have preferred him on another team but under the circumstances that is good news.

I wonder what happens if they both go to the Vuelta?

Yeah, and I could become president of the United States. It's possible, but extremely unlikely.

no, you can't.
you aren't born in USA
The constitutional change that would need to precede her candidacy just adds to the unlikelihood, and thus it's not a problem at all for the point she's making.

She seems pretty international. I like that she is not cheering for the domestic riders like most of the Dutch fans in here. I think she is even occasionally dissing the like of Gesink and Mollema. Haha.

It think it's likely. Let's see who Contador chooses to face.
Did Froome manage to win every important race he started in any year? No. What are the odds he'll manage it next season? Slim, I'd say.
Did Sky manage to win even half of all important races in any year? No. What are the odds Landa will prove to be so vital they'll suddenly win 100% more races? Slim, I'd say.
So yes, it's extremely unlikely, especially because Thomas said he will no longer focus on classics so winning Roubaix, de Ronde etc will be very hard.

however, with the current law, he can't do it .I am wrong?
sorry flo, if i broke your dream :D

Don't worry Matteo, it was never my ambition to become the "POTUS", which, as hrotha would say, "just adds to the unlikelihood" :)

okok, i was just kidding. i have to do double apology 'cause i wrote ''he'' instead of ''she''. :p

anyway, returning to the issue, i'm not sure Landa is a rider like Berto who always want to win every race, especially minor like PV, T-A, ecc.
I would not be surprised if Landa rides those like Burgos...quiet.
Or maybe i wrong...
