Lucky man.

Good find!

And thats the difference between Mikel and Zakarin!

I would also add he was very very lucky and one of the explanations for his incredible TT (though marginal) is that he took far more risks than Nibali and Valverde, at least from what we saw Nibs was going extremely cautious on descents.

Funny, that exact point i made to the hog in the clinic.
But yes, a little lucky, but respect for really pushing it.

Lucky man.

Landa has been so unlucky in his first years of pro, that a little bit of luck is normal...

They deleted what Landa said, it looks that the rules of the forums doent allow to inform properly...A pity, information is information, I undertand nobody here is allowed to insult, it must be like that, but yes to inform what cyclist said. That way I know what Landa said, becouse I am spanish, but you dont knows just becouse you dont speak spanish... good rule !!

I'm allergic to all those inferences so please keep them in the clinic as well

If I were Nibali and Valverde, I would try today to put him in trouble on pian del falco , since it has never shone uphill in these first stages.
Bring him safe in the mountains with a few seconds it can be fatal...

Agreed.
On paper, this stage is tailor made for Nibali and Piti (as are many other stages in this race). It is basically an Il Lombardia in Emilia Romagna :p (with the start in Tuscany)

actually we didnt see him race much this year. I still have to enjoy Landa the way I enjoy Stannard or Roche when I see them race. I liked his Pais Vasco win, I wasnt so chuffed. new guy, I mean, I still have to begin to shout like mad when he wins, like I did with Poels in Liege ;)

I would like to whole-heartedly apologise for being so wrong about Landa's form it would appear that his illness has got the better of him and I'm sure he'll salvage his season somewhere along the line, I maintain that he will win the Giro at some point but this year is not his year sadly.

My guess is either that a mechanical or he picked up something as a result of the weather in the TT.
Has to be an illness- he would not retire if it was just a mechanical.

Apparently abdominal pain, so hopefully just something job costing for the chef.

Team Sky car: Mikel Landa started to feel bad during the night but they didn't think it was that serious. (RAI) #giro

This is cycling, day by day and most important avoid problems that to lose 2 minutes in one stage if you are ok.

Sad end to his Giro dream. Not a big surprise considering Sky usual meltdown in Giro.He needs to recover and aim for La Vuelta.
