Roglic's swarms made up of Lipowitz, Martinez and Vlasov should try to split the GC group midway of the climb. I'm sure the Spanish group of Rodriguez, Mas and Landa with Skjelmose and some remnants of UAE team would also come out of their attacking mode to help weaken the Red Jersey and his team not only in this stage, but to the more demanding stages 14, 15 and 16.
There is nothing demanding in stage 14. There isn't a single full km in Leitariegos above 5%.
Everytime he lets his team dictate the pace, he fails to deliver. And with the TDF in his legs, it will be hard for him to get a podium here.

They were pulling to limit the gap to Sivakov. The final 3km are unique within this race with how hard they were so not the most representative. However 5th is likely because of the gifts to Carapaz and O'Connor.
If he has one great day at stage 19 or 20, he can probably finish in the podium, but the time gifts given to both O'Connor and Carapaz will be hard to reduce.

Today he still looked well off what he was doing in the second week however it makes yesterday look very confusing. I don't recall Landa having a day like when he was consistently top 5 climber throughout the race. Maybe age is beginning to damage his recovery or a consequence of the Spring crash ruining build up.

It feels those will be the 3 favorites for the Giro. And I feel Landa can get even better for the Giro, as he said he's not at his top shape right now.

Does Landa have a habitual bad day. He had a terrible day at La Vuelta last year, but I don't recall any days like this in previous grand tours.
