After all the fuss about EBH's sprinting at Tirreno, they look to have added some experience to their train, for the opening classic.

I'm praying for someone to crack the mould, so I'm backing Mr October, to carry on where he left off.

That pic needs to go in the classic photos thread, I love it!

As for the weather today, I guess it probably should favour the riders from Northern Europe, so Boonen, EBH, Cav, perhaps?

Caccia on the attack again. Is he from the Italian part of David Boucher's family? :D

Fascinating -- don't they look at a starting list?

Susan

The impressive bit about my game is that Valverde is still racing in Italy, and this is after I d/l a program that updated all the teams, riders, races etc. :D

I'm starting to think that it maybe possible that Boucher, Caccia, and Machado are all related.

You can if you want to, but if you want to enter the competition, you will have to put your picks in that thread. It won't open for another hour.

Susan

Interesting choice with van avermaet susan. What's your thinking with him?

Not necessarily who I think will win, but good for a bet. He is playing the joker role for Omega Pharma Lotto today.

And of course Les chose Davis: Australians!

Susan

I guess he can sprint after hills. OPL have a few otions. An outside bet.

Yeah, at those odds not a bad bet. So is Ballan IMO.

Not everyone thinks Cavendish is sand bagging.

"I'm liking Laura's pick of Breschel. Could win from a small to medium pack of riders. Cav = no chance! Has as much chance as Kenny van Hummell winning the Tour!" - Andy from Brisbane.

OUCH!

Famous last words.
