Where? They’ll start in Milan and soft pedal most of the way before they actually race into Sanremo.
When? Tomorrow (further explanation upon request)
Duration? We expect them to finish within the day
Things you’ll need? A tv, coffee, scones/pastries, a good book

The best day of the cycling season is nearly upon us.

Well they're not actually starting in Milano.

Personally, I prefer reading a periodical when a race is on in the background (reading a book diminishes both activities for me, as I prefer giving books my undivided attention). And I eat smørrebrød, or what you would call an open sandwich. And some bananas after that. But I agree with the coffee. Mmm, strong, black coffee.

Yay—coffee ride photos! Love ‘em—the only time I can identify with the life of a pro cyclist ;)

You guys are both wrong.

The best way to watch a race (by far) is to smash it on the bike in some shitty weather, get home and get something great to eat, shower and lay in the sofa the next 4 hours.

I'm not sure you needed to be a wind expert fro that. I mean what else is he going to do, not attack?
well, it obviously is about the point of the attack. Most (me included) would still think it's more likely he'd wait for the Poggio.

Philipsen was only 8s behind the Strava KOM on the Poggio, it doesn't say a lot in recon but still impressive.

If Pogi, Ala, WVA or MDVP attack in the Cipressa, Mohorij will follow and repeat his daredevil descending attack. No one would dare to follow because they have, well, much too loose and a whole classics campaign ahead. So perhaps the only option would be for one of them launching a watt bomb, devasting uphill sprint and maybe one or two can follow. Pogi can beat WVA in sprint close to the line, but not MVDP. So many variables. Perhaps teams can destroy the peloton already in the Cipressa.
