Yes, we totally believe you, you have never ever been wrong about that kind of stuff before  can't wait till the UCI hires you and the rest of the mods, you'll fit right in with the current group!

I am wrong about many things but not this one, I thought he was polish so I banned him after communicating with him via email I have worked out he is definently not polish..

quite frankly is he is polish then the fellow deserves some kind of medal, he isnt polish though so lets leave it at that .

+ 1.

Is it fair to say that palmerq has a fairly arbitrary or vacillating view of the foul ball line?

I'm reminded of the replacement refs in the recent American Football debacle.

Why, in the "Mobile Viewing" thread are all of Python's rantings left up while everything he was ranting against has been deleted? It makes the entire thread look pretty stupid. Why not either delete everything or just leave it alone? Requires rational thought, may be a bit beyond......

There's no choice, we're not going to have this kind of thing in the forum. The negativity doesn't help the community, it hurts it. If one is a member here in good faith, and the vast majority are, I hope we all can see that it does not help this place to have personal grievances battled out in public. I know it provides some short term enjoyment for some, kind of like the proverbial train wreck, but over time it casts a pall of negativity which weakens the community.

At least that's my view.

I deleted all GeeMan's posts he was a long time former poster who has been banned multiple times. I typically delete his posts ... I am not going to weed out everything else ... It's not worth the effort.

Sorry if it looks a little odd. But I suspect you will cope :)

Thanks for the feedback.

thank you, 180.

regarding another moderating matter, i'd like to note that a member of the cn community, dim, has a popular forum too where he set up a firm rule -
no CN bashing

despite hosting dozens of refugees from cn (including several former cn mods) the rule is being stringently enforced.

all i'm suggesting is that when dim makes a rare appearance here and posts a simple constructive comment, he should be treated with the same respect and not allowed being flamed and insulted.

yes, eventually the insults were removed, but it should be obvious that thing should never be allowed to go that far. thank you.

Quick compliments to the mod team, in the past few weeks in the clinic we seem to have less useless crap posts, less thread derailing, more decent discussions.

Not sure if due to certain members being reported/warned behind the scenes via PM's, but something seems to be improving. Also several mods more visible, Red, 180, and others, your small posts within the threads do demonstrate you are around monitoring, and do reinforce key points for all of us. Thanks.

Thank you Tinman,

It is nice to hear that the efforts are appreciated. Of course, it may just be that the season is winding down or any other number of factors, but we do aim to make this place as good as it can be.

It appears that yesterday I made a stupid error and mistakenly reported a post for talking about doping even though the thread was in the clinic. I am sorry for the extra work I caused the moderators.

How is that legal advice from the lawyers about Joe Papp going? Are we going to be told what the situation is or does CN not think we are worthy of being informed about what has happened?

I refrained from making any comparison to Sky or the UCI because I would like to know and I think that Benson and the other CN staff should tell us.

Invoking lawyers and then not telling people shows a certain level of contempt that CN appears to have for the users of its forums.
