I didn't know that you're thread was merged with it, sorry. I guess I'll reopen it, since MEM didn't tell me anything at all. Anyway the thread, as someone pointed out, wasn't that active...

I made it obviously clear it was not the thread you now locked and yet it was merged and now locked? Who's running this show? How much more obvious must one be to not have a thread merged, obviously a title with the opposite title and a comment to that is not enough so can the Mods state what is needed? As it is all we hear is how over worked and how few of you's there are so if you make it clear your work will be reduced, is that not what you want?

Can I get some kind of answer on the latter? This is so its obviously clear to those of us who actually read past the title and listed explanation. I know it may take a meeting or two but so its listed out and not a thing that has the forum in an uproar, again for sanity sake.

Your idea that this would constitute an act "gravely irresponsible for a mod" puzzles me. Why? And, why should the standard of responsibility change from a normal user to a mod? Are you saying the rules should not apply to mods? I couldn't agree with that - the rules are for everybody.

I am saying that the rules apply to everyone - and the rules prohibit baiting. Netserk's post and sig clearly constitute baiting. Why does the fact that he is a mod make it worse? In addition to what 18-Valv (pithy) said, I repeat my question from when I brought this issue up: "Tell me what is the purpose of a mod again?" - To me it is trying to keep things in order and calming people down, not provoke them and stir sh*t up. It is one thing when a regular user does it, but when you sign up to be a mod and then do exactly the opposite, that makes it a lot worse in my book. Let's for a second imagine that someone would have taken the bait and flown off the charts (as has happened countless times) - Netserk would then have banned them, for taking a bait he himself placed! Of course people react too stongly to things, but there are always two sides to this story and that is why the forum rules prohibit not only bashing but also baiting.

In both scenarios you are describing, you are committing a crime. In this situation on the forum, only you were breaking the rules by baiting. I was posting information about Andy, regardless of content, which I have always done. That is not against forum rules.
