I think willbick or whatever is a troll but you have to be careful of just shutting down any differing opinions, however much you may disagree with them.

Willbick is Joachim.

Not sure if its joachim there are some other candidates for that.

Joachim used different strategies for maximum flaming effect to try and get on peoples nerves as much as he could

Cyivel is dead-on for this one. As for somebody being a sockpuppet, bro, you should know better than to post that, but for the moment I will take that as humor. Obviously, I like hitch's attitude here! "If they fasch you, shine it on."

Btw - it is worth repeating - if we DO find evidence that a poster is a sockpuppet, they get banned. IF you have sent in a report that you THINK someone is a sockpuppet, and we haven't done anything, you can assume we have not been able to find any evidence. And, you can also assume we looked (because I know somebody will be snarky enough to try and take advantage of that loophole in what I just said). So much for brevity, eh? When I have to cya before the shooting even starts?

Mad EM: I think El hit the nail here. A good title means a lot - a pro writer I know estimates you get about 10 seconds of attention from a reader, and you have to grab their attention in that time - and tell them what you are about, so they have some idea where they are heading. Another user made the same comment to me about the thread - that the title was too open-ended.

I understand your feelings about it going off-topic from what you meant it to be, tho.

The thread was placed in the clinic which is in the road cycling section of the forum. Threads in that section should all be about cycling in my view. I know that is not the current practice but at least threads should be about cycling unless specified otherwise.

Can we get a discussion about power without Frank Day stinking the thread up? Today, briefly, there was some interesting info about how power meters were used to determine the best order of four riders when a wind tunnel large enough could not be found. Now the thread is back to the usual Frank Day crap flood.

Durianrider's self-promotion was restircted to one thread. Why not Day's stealth advertising?

I made it obviously clear it was not the thread you now locked and yet it was merged and now locked? Who's running this show? How much more obvious must one be to not have a thread merged, obviously a title with the opposite title and a comment to that is not enough so can the Mods state what is needed? As it is all we hear is how over worked and how few of you's there are so if you make it clear your work will be reduced, is that not what you want?

Thanks for offering your view, your view is wrong.

Did you register a complaint or misgiving about any of the other non cycling related threads in The Clinic?
And "my view" was that your thread was pretty silly, I didn't call the forum police, I just didn't participate.
And if you were unhappy with the direction of the thread you could have requested those that mentioned other sports to start a different thread.
