Straydog - It's strange your interpretation of things. I make a statement of fact that anyone can read this thread, including children - so we don't need pornography or links to pornography posted, and you paint it out as if I'm on a crusade in your wording. And you then act puzzled, like you see no difference.

It isn't just me. You seem to have gotten off on the wrong foot with just about everyone you've interacted with. Then stayed on that wrong foot.

Agreed, though I did have a big hissy fit about it initially which has developed into a large thread!

You didn't wage your "report every doping post outside the clinic" battle for very long :(

No because apparently reporting all doping posts made outside of clinic would have resulted me in getting a warning and possibly a further ban for excessive reporting. Now I dont bother to report anything in case I get warned for it. Talk about backwards.

I think the doping talk outside of the clinic is a tough one that is down to the particular moderators take on it. Some moderators will issue warnings for the slightest mention (as displayed in my case when i didnt even mention doping), others use a little bit of common sense (for instance in the transfers thread. Team A rumoured to be signing Rider x. Sometimes its impossible to avoid the "i cant see them signing him with his history etc). Unfortunately there seems to be a common sense pot for the moderators and some of them dip into it more frequently. :D

Yeha so do i. And all I've done is make post after post of inane, pointless, poorly spelt fanboy cra* about my favourite rider and his team. Its a double standard I say!

Without a shadow of a doubt this gets my vote as post of the day...of the week....in fact of all time! Keep up the good work WL:D

Honestly Alpe I don't recall any of my wording including the word "crusade"....I would challenge you on this, except I feel the only response I may receive is an invitation to a cut price one week "holiday":D

I have lost the thread of this bit...I see no difference from what?

My original point remains Alpe, minus any language that might be construed as emotive this time, do you think it is acceptable for children to be able to read jokes about people losing their homosexual virginity in a non consensual manner? Do you also think it is ok for them to be able to follow links to descriptions of pornographic acts? Or is acceptable for them to be able to read as certain posters try to mock fellow posters based on their supposed sexual orientation? If not, why were the relevant posts allowed to stay put, and the offenders not invited to join me in my two month sabbatical?

And one final thing:

This statement appears a tad subjective if you don't mind me saying, despite a few racy pms and the odd weepily indignant response to me in certain threads where my rampant fanboyism has become apparent, most of this forum has been very sweet and quite huggable. I have even got 2 "friends"! And I am expecting further requests from RR and Python any day soon. :)

See, I have fans on all sides of the fence, right, wrong and very wrong. I deffinatly should be made a moderator as its obvious that I am the olny person with any credability and sound judgement left at all.

Oh I am generally very very "wrong" in most aspects of my life....there is only one thing I am certain I am right about....and that is that you should be made a mod without further hesitation. The resulting complaints from banned and infracted members in this thread alone, would be unmissable:)

All this hand-wringing is hilarious. It's an internet forum, not a middle-east peace process meeting. Relax, talk a bit and have some escapist fun, the day job is for the serious business.

p.s. Wonderlance for Mod!

Well done! The first step from recovery from an addiction is admitting that you have an addiction!

His track record isn't that strong as most of it isn't so much about what will happen, but what he says did happen. aka, It just hangs out there without subtantiation. BPC had a habit of doing this (probably out of spite), which was one component that led to his demise. Before you get the wrong impression, that's a good thing as it is irritating to hear anyone's bent fantasy.

Good grief,

Race Radio is an insider for goodness sake. Wake up.

He told me a week before the Freiberg thing broke with Klodi and wanted me to reveal it on a forum I was on that he wasn't participating in.

The guy has predicted a bunch of stuff all over the net and is also genuinely interested in getting factual stuff out there in a straightforward way.

One of the few posters that adds anything of substance to any forums on the net and I don't include myself in that.

One would think that closing a thread would merit at least some kind of explanation, but apparently anything that can be considered even remotely critical of Vaughters is now off limits.

Really, really? A thread of which the opening post is nothing other than:
First we've got Armstrong being a bedroom closer by saying it to Lemond's too-young daughter, and now we've got Vaughters trying to say it to us.

warrants to stay open? You're really going to argue that? And one that started to go into the same direction as the previous Vaughters thread at that?

Race Radio wanted you to reveal dirt on a RadioShack rider lol?
That is sadly pathetic. Hope he pays as well as Public Strategies lol again.

Well I suppose, that if one of RR's prophecies does not come true, we are left to believe that a payoff went down somewhere along the line.

Yes. That's what is happening.

okay - loathe as I am to end this conversation about the voracity of RaceRadio's claims. This thread is actually in existence to allow people to discuss moderation of the site.

So how about we leave the thread alons for that purpose. ;)
