Too many times here a difference of opinion is labelled baiting and trolling (and even possibly insulting!!). Just because someone does not agree with you it is not automatically baiting and trolling.

Thanks for proving my point.

I was baiting into responding to a troll who was intentionally misrepresenting what I wrote solely to get a negative response. Something he does with increasing regularity. I do not feel my response was insulting, I thought that he had misunderstood what I had written and gave him the benefit of the doubt. English is not his first language and he has struggled with this in the past.

You will notice that his response was far over the line and he is now suspended.....again.

Stepford? As in Stepford Wives? Very old school terminology - the preferred label now is Handbag Ladies.

I have no idea why everyone is getting so carried away here. But I do think it is tilme for another round of heavy-handed moderating. The three strike rule is still in effect, so it is time to put it to use again.......

To put a nice bow on this issue, which included an attack on me in the moderator thread no doubt just because I have a different opinion, is it official that we can use the same avatars?

Why didn't you just go to the FAQ page?

What are avatars?

Avatars are small images that people use to identify or distinguish themselves to other forum members. In some cases the administrator will not allow avatars or only allow them for specific members. The administrator can also provide some stock avatars people can use, or they can allow members to upload their own custom avatars from their own computers. These avatars will be displayed as part of the user info in posts, as well as in the public profile.

So yes you are allowed use them- but the administrators reserve the right to not allow certain avatars.

What is more pertinent to you is your intent. As you are only doing so to bait and be distributive then that is trolling, and you above anyone should know the consequences for that.

Ahh. Hopefully the avatar we both have now is allowed. I would hate for the mods to now ban this clever cartoon character with the hitler salute.

I've never been accused of being "distributive". Does that mean I sling crap upon everybody equally around the forum? I don't believe that is true, because there are certain people I like and mostly agree with and their are "others". Unfortunately I don't have time to go out and dig up a list of posts to prove my point, so you will just have to trust me on that.

There is nothing at all wrong with your new avatar, indeed it is quite clever.
