It isn't about avatars - the guidelines there are quite clear - this is about trolling.
It is the latest tactic to troll - the very fact of having to second guess the 'avatar' position (which worked well as it was applied to common sense) shows that those engaged have no interest in being part of a forum, but to test it.
What is noticable about this new tactic is how one member was privy to anothers correspondence and then starts baiting the mods over a non-issue.

oh please. friends talk, what is wrong with one mentioning to another that he received a warning for something as innocuous as his avatar? it was brought up in the approriate thread and until you, being the busiest of busy bodies, poked your nose into it, it was a simple, and valid question asked in the correct manner. i think you should receive a 24 hour ban for starting this whole stupid episode with your baiting and trolling of members that you don't like.
