The Doc was banned for demanding that no moderator action be taken on his posts.
So is that the "official" version, seeing that it's coming from a mod, and all?

I don't know but we do all act like school children, do we not?
At times—
when treated as such—unfortunately, yes.

Why do you assume it was Berzin who banned him?
That is a snide response that does little (nothing, actually) to move the conversation forward. It also further incites the forum in their distaste/distrust of the mods in general.

A discussion by persons not involved in the decision and not knowing all that has gone on.
OK, are we talking about Edward Snowden and the NSA, or Dr Mas and the CN forums? Again, more cryptic responses about information that apparently should be withheld from the very people make that up the forum seems, to me, just a tad bit too "parental"—and we know what that can lead to (see my exchange with thehog above).

It was a group decision and one of the mods -- not Berzin -- volunteered to do the deed.
The "deed" being...moving their cursor over the bright, little "ban" thingy? Or were there lines and lines of code that needed to written by someone brave enough and determined enough to stay up all night, with bleeding fingertips and bloodshot eyes, until the arduous task had finally been overcome, for the greater good of all mankind?
Not trying to pick on you, Susan, as I'm sure you've better things to do with your time, and I've always maintained a courteous and respectful relationship with you in the past. But you, of all people, should realize, and be willing to admit, that this never would've happened under the watch of Francois, Martin and Barrus. I think that's something worth contemplating.
