I decided to delete them because I thought they perhaps went too far and I thought it might be better for the forum if they did not remain. I was just going to edit them but then I was surprised to see I could delete them so I did.

I had actually edited the second post before I deleted it, it was initially a very short response that I then expanded greatly, I suspect Merckx Index only saw the short version.

GM - while you represent your views in an intelligent, articulate, non-trolling manner, to call your views on sex and marriage 'reactionary', would be to err on the liberal side. It is, therefore, no great surprise that your medieval views, shared by what one assumes cannot be more than an extremely tiny number of people in the 21st century, can lead to fierce responses from people who are both gob-smacked, and outraged, at such backward, 'verkrampte' thinking.

From a poster everyone already knew was only here to troll and who in his first post on the forum admitted he was only here because he was banned for trolling on his other forums?

I would like to point out a few facts.

1. I was banned from the BR forum " rayjay" and I was never given a reason for my ban.
Feel free to search "rayjay" posts and see if you can find anything that warranted a ban. Infact I got a few emails from BR members who did not understand why I got banned.
So it was 1 forum not "other forums" .
2. A difference of opinion is not trolling. The fact is this hitch, anyone who disagrees with you is a troll and you respond with derogatory comments and remarks because they/me do not agree with you.
3. I post and started threads in the bikes /gear sections. I posted photos of my weight weenie Bike and posted in threads about bike equipment I have also posted in the fitness forum and also in other threads non cycle related.

So lets make it clear. I was banned without given a reason from 1 forum not forums ...
A difference of opinion is not trolling and I have posted in threads where you do not.

let's keep it relevant to the thread...a poster's remarks you consider lies aren't strictly speaking against the forum rules unless a mod considers them intentional lies. it is imo puzzling - and previously supported with the hard, linkable evidence - why the mods don't see the intentional invented statements by the hitch he attributed to his discussants but failed to support or link to when requested. again, several of the current posters experienced the phenomena.

i quoted this post again, b/c it is the same issue several of the recent posters brought up. specifically, the hitch attributes to people absurd statements they never made and which he can't back up. then he follows with conclusions which frequently inflame threads...

he just alluded to the same in this link.

again, a very simple link to the extraordinarily false clams was politely requested. failure to do this so many times with multiple posters imo is the reason for the mods to consider it an intentional flaming.

this is another of your intentional misrepresentations and an uncomplicated deflection.
any mod could easily confirm it, if they chose.

all post deleted then, including some of yours about which you whined, were in this thread and they were about you trying to run ray jay off. there were no discussions about anyone's expertise.

i never made such a statement, could never had made it in principle. all posts deleted then were about your multiple attempts to run ray jay off...

you invented the falsehood, just as you pretend you did not try to speak for everyone. when it turns out you did, b/c your own words were quoted by ray jay, you can't use the misrepresentation like that. obviously, b/c it is still there and can't be choked to ray jay's vacation.

Well I hope the moderators actually read this thread and start to look at Reports from PRR. I just tried to report a post and it said it had already been reported. Anyway it is the Same People Continually bringing up doping in PRR and it just evolves and runs on. It is Very Tiresome as they never seem to be punished, they just come back and dump more trash talk and off it goes again. Thanks for your attention.

A million apologies folks. If anyone is wondering what happened to the 9,8,7?? thread, I moved it to the Clinic from the PRR forum but then managed to delete it altogether. I've tried to restore it without success. I'll ask the other Mods if they can help with this. Nothing sinister! Genuine admin mistake...

Thought about that too...

I take it it sometimes serves as forum self-policing but it can be too much...

Also if the mods are low in numbers and not here so much it is hard to be on top of these things as well as being here enough to distinct the fine line between posters own ability to call BS and personal bickering...

When editing a post it suggests deleting the post cannot be undone. Sounds like they do a DELETE vs a HIDE. If that is true for threads also, which seems likely, then it's very possible that thread is gone.

A definite step backwards.

Given the impetus of this forum change was security issues, which were first rasied vis a vis the main site article comments section, it seems strange that despite implementing the new forum, article comments remain absent.

searching is still f-d up, multiple quoting incredibly difficult, and there's plenty of other stuff that was just much more intuitive in the previous layout.
normally these updates are for the better.
the CN forum is a remarkable exception.

Completely agree on that. Since the mod is posting himself there on a daily basis. So he sees what is going on, who tries to bring back peace, and who tries to prevent it (peace) at all costs...
