It becomes more strict because, as usual, people start playing the "How far can I push the line with obvious clinic references in the PRR section game" and it's extremely annoying. It's always worse during the Tour and always when Sky are doing well. I wouldn't want to be a mod because anyone who tried that would be given a weeks timeout and I'd be sacked :)

We've been asking for more mods for ages, the new ones seem to be doing a very good job :)

I think it is wonderful that we have mods working to clean up this place :). Thanks to all mods!

Here, here! It's just a shame there are so many people they have to ban for not following simple rules, just because a rider they don't like wins.

Well there are many that break the rules even when a rider they hates loses LOL.....

I don't think we've ever stuck U23 races... And the thread in question has 6 posts in total, after 2 stages. The race itself is beautiful, but has no reason to be sticky imho.
can you then move the thread to above thread ... as i couldnt found the above thread when i created the threas as it was not stickied? that thread should be stickied in my proud opinion ....

Again a post of me is deleted in the race thread. I'd like to be notified if something like this happens, because I've no clue what I did wrong. Last time, Big Mac said he deleted a lot of posts and maybe per accident also mine. Now, I'm pretty sure this is not the case as all the other posts are still there, except for mine.

Thanks in advance.

You do know how much extra work it'd be if the mods were to notify the posters each and every time they delete a post?

Of course if it was really bad and you get a warning or infraction, you will get a message specifying what was wrong, but for the rest, I certainly think it is fair that the mods don't have to write a message with.

I didn't delete any posts the other day, just for the record. The reason still stands, though.

Was it on-topic / regarding the race?

Re: Re:

@Big Mac, fair enough, does not really change a lot.

Yes, I do. But I do not see the point of deleting a post and not give a warning. That would lead to a situation in which it is up to the mods what users are posting. Users should be allowed to post whatever they want, unless it is a violation of the rules. If not, I don't see the point of deleting a post.

I saw Lance Armstrong during the live feed of the Tour de France and I was quite surprised. I posted something like:

The fckkk WHAT is Lance doing.

Not sure though.

Maybe they were offended by the language. If so, I would like to know and adjust my way of posting. But if posts of me are deleted without any warning or notification, responses of me in discussions can get lost. Now it was not a big problem, but in the future it could be. I am not only asking this for me, I just find this a really weird way of moderating.

I don't know if it was me that deleted your comment or not, but I will say we read an insane amount of comments and can't possibly give each member a written reason in a PM for the deletion.

Although if you had to provide some sort of reason maybe the deletions would be easier to understand, and you guys would give a bit more thought to which and how many posts you deleted. If it was bad enough to need deleting then it was bad enough to tell the perp why. No?
