"Sticking his nose in everywhere"

Umm, isn't that what you were doing when you visited the mod thread in the first place and saw rams post which had nothing to do with you and decided to use it as a launchpad for bringing the pig back up again?

Don't worry I believe that this is a public forum so you can stick your nose in where you like.

Reporting babe on a bike as offensive? Really? What a crock. Hate to tell you, but the bob thread isn't exactly the bible. You take it far too seriously. Get over yourself, man.

Its not just the babes on bikes.

Amster wont admit this, but the reason boomcie and him have a feud is because amster complained to the mods that a funny and harmless thread boomcie had made titled "is boomcie totally awessome", should not be allowed and threw insults at boomcie for creating it.

Serious question to the powers that be - does the General forum really have to turn into a playground for juvenile narcisists? The last couple of new topics are beyond the pale, imho.

He writes that boomcie tries to cause trouble between "others" but in reality most people seem to get on pretty fine with boomcie and the above shows who really did start the feud, and that it is not as amster claims, just boomcie randomly picking on people.

When I commented in the general politics thread he repeatedly warned me to stay away from that thread because he didn't want me there, and to "stick to the other sections"
I know at least 1 of those posts has been removed by the mods.

Then there is this famous post where amster declares that idealy posters should only post in threads if he gives his permission first.

Amsterhammer said:
Imho, there is no reason why 'well known' people who die should not have their own topics, as long as posters are able to maintain some sense of proportion about the relative importance of the deceased in the grand scheme of things.

Its also why he complains that I am "sticking my nose in" when i comment on this thread, and insults me for doing it.

Im no psychiatrist, but I would suggest there is a pattern there of incidents where the poster shows that he believes he should be in control and reacts aggresively to situations where it becomes clear that he is not in control.

As such, whether palmer did or did not make the right decision is totaly irrelevant. He ruled against amster and therefore he is a

"pathetic ****er"
"is not man enough
" and
" hasn't got the balls to man-up"

I did not re-post anything. And if Palmer says so, I'm sure he did not reinstate anything.

Did it occur to you that another mod re-inserted that picture (twice), because there was nothing wrong with it?

you might be onto something :S

but really i never removed or readded the picture of babe, I didnt think there was anything wrong with it and I wouldn't have done anything to it, it was actually quite funny.

It might well be that the mod who did it "doesn't have the balls" as it may well have been me.

So now you can all hate on me.

But really -- why is this whole thing something to get so het up about? Why take it -- and the whole forum, for that matter -- so seriously?

Jesus you guys...take the inane and immature stabs to pms maybe?
It's like internet personality wars over here....

I could feel the bad vibes all over.
maybe I also am 'sticking my nose in' but it's a public place and our 'home'

I have never visited the Bob thread because if I did I'm sure I would not find the 'humour' but would find it extremely offensive and sexist...

but that's just me.

although I also do not visit the IMHO idiotic "vegan" ad thread either....

we just lost a dear poster how about some perspective here

All I know is when I report posts all I hear are crickets.
This has been my experience here with the report button.

Generally, as ease of use for the moderator, it is better to adopt standards for moderation and apply it across the board, as we are led to believe generally happens. But as a volunteer privilege, there is an occasional indulgence afforded to those with the banning controls to make even with someone whose opinions on certain things don't match their own.

Terry: My 1 month ban for a first time offense, for a non-expletive characterization of another person's forum behavior is ridiculous measure that can only be rationalized as an indulgence on your part.

I tried communicating with palmer by PM - a complete and utter waste of time as he was incapable of responding in a serious or mature manner, something he continues to demonstrate here. I really find it incredible that this person can be an admin. Really! He deleted a pic that was no different, certainly no more daring, than hundreds of others, on a momentary whim, simply because he had the power to do so.

It is also a fact, because I saw it with my own eyes, that the pig was twice re-posted after being removed. So Hitch (though God knows why I'm explaining this to the likes of you,) that is why I commented with regard to Ram's ban, which was given for reposting something that had been deleted by a mod, exactly what happened with the pig, but with no consequences - therefore, the obvious conclusion is that one or more mods were involved and are now not telling the truth. (I am not referring to Susan!)

I've exchanged previous PMs with boomcie and Hitch, another complete waste of time since they both insist on painting me as something that I am not. It's a pity that Hitch has to waste his photographic memory on trying to portray me as some kind of ogre. Boomcie is merely an inveterate troll, he can't leave it alone. I was not, and am not, the only one to be annoyed by his pathetic ego-tripping topics, all of which wound up being locked later, rather than sooner, as they should have been, irregardless of my own opinion. The pig was a deliberate wind-up on his part, directed at me. Why did he never previously post anything at all in BoB until he had a feud with me? How would any of you feel if someone who was stalking you with abuse 'stole' your user name and registered it on Twitter?

I will hold my hands up that I shouldn't let juveniles like these two wind me up. Strange that I have no aggro with anyone else anywhere on the web, except with this one troll who should have been permanently banned long ago, and one kid who demonstrates on a daily basis that he really does think that the sun shines out of his nether regions, and owes it to the world to prove it. Every day.

Once again, I'm done with this. BoB is history to me, it was fun while it lasted. This issue was mainly about dishonesty, and about different standards for different posters.

That's what i accused you of. Difference is i backed it up with multiple quotes of you telling the forum it should revolve around you.

You on the other hand have provided absolutely 0 arguments or evidence in any of your 3 attempts to dismiss me as an egomaniac.

I would propose that the guy who is on record saying threads should only exist as long as he thinks they are worthy in the "grand scheme of things" is the one to whom the sun shining out of behind metaphor is more appropriate.

Oh and exactly where have i behaved like a juvenile ? Is that based on anything more than my age ? You in your refusal to apologise to a moderator you wrongly accused and repeatedly insulted are behaving.much more like one.

Since you appear to be unable to understand what happened I'm going to try and explain this to you in baby-language:

1. I posted the picture of the pig
2. You went berserk and reported it (knowing you, you probably reported it to every mod in the book)
3. A mod (not Palmer) responded by removing it
4. I asked a random mod (not Palmer) what was going on
5. The picture was reinstated by A MOD (not Palmer)

The following is mere speculation of mine:
6. Another mod (not Palmer) that received your complaint removed it again
7. I asked a random mod (not Palmer) what was going on
8. Naturally the picture was reinstated again by A MOD (not Palmer)

So you see? I never re-posted anything. Try thinking without going mental, it's all pretty easy to understand.

The pig was a deliberate wind-up on his part, directed at me. Why did he never previously post anything at all in BoB until he had a feud with me?

It amazes me that you still think you own the BoB-thread. The pig was meant as a joke. How could I have known that you would take it personal and would react as you did? It's a pig on a bike. What on earth is offensive about that?

Something is definitely wrong with you (not meant as an insult, but seriously).

The way the picture was talked about / posted about, I find it difficult to understand that this is about a picture of a pig on a bicycle??????

Can you repost the picture of the pig?

"Well we'd have to be talkin' about one charming mother****in' pig. I mean he'd have to be ten times more charmin' than that Arnold on Green Acres, you know what I'm sayin'?"

I'd like to see the pig picture too just to understand.

But I have a request. I have seen many posts from Amsterhammer, the Hitch, and Boomcie alike, and they all are generally civil. I even had a piece of advice for Boomcie once that he could have blasted me for, but he didn't. So he earned some of my respect for that. My request is, lay down your weapons gents, and can we move on? It really doesn't matter that much. I'd still like to see the pig. On a bicycle?

Since the moderators (rightfully) allowed the post to stay, I don't think ill be breaking any rules by requoting it here so that posters could see what the outrage and insults at palmerq are all about.

Awesome movie as well...

A witty joke of babe on a bike in the babes on bikes thread , or a cold calculated dig from a troll mastermind towards another poster?

You decide.

I like Boomcie's pig. But I had to google Green Acres to find out what that's about.

GreenAcres3rdSeasonCover.jpg

I still like Boomcie's pig better.

That is what I was saying when I said Boom's pig was "ten times more charmin' than that Arnold on Green Acres"! hehe.

The quote I had was from Pulp Fiction when Samuel El Jackson (Jules) and John Travolta (Vincent) had this exchange.

"Want some bacon?
Jules: No man, I don't eat pork.
Vincent: Are you Jewish?
Jules: Nah, I ain't Jewish, I just don't dig on swine, that's all.
Vincent: Why not?
Jules: Pigs are filthy animals. I don't eat filthy animals.
Vincent: Bacon tastes gooood. Pork chops taste gooood.
Jules: Hey, sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie, but I'd never know 'cause I wouldn't eat the filthy mother****er. Pigs sleep and root in ****. That's a filthy animal. I ain't eat nothin' that ain't got sense enough to disregard its own feces.
Vincent: How about a dog? Dogs eats its own feces.
Jules: I don't eat dog either.
Vincent: Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal?
Jules: I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
Vincent: Ah, so by that rationale, if a pig had a better personality, he would cease to be a filthy animal. Is that true?
Jules: Well we'd have to be talkin' about one charming mother****in' pig. I mean he'd have to be ten times more charmin' than that Arnold on Green Acres, you know what I'm sayin'? "
