He did say “GTs he has finished.”That 'consecutive' streak has 3 DNFs in it.

You saw what he did when he saw the sign.7/7 is great but the probability of him DNF due to a crash at some point of his career is still high. This is cycling after all.

Rogla would've crashed into the sign.

That sign was lucky Pogacar didn’t break it in half. Only thing he showed mercy to.Still, luck factor is always important.
Although my post is 10 months old things haven't got much better - consecutive implies consistency, which of course poor Primoz has anything but.He did say “GTs he has finished.”
In the GTs where he crashed out, I think we can all agree it was likely he would have been on the podium at the finish. Except maybe this Tour; I think Remco probably was stronger than him.
Make it 8 consecutive podiums when he finishes the race. Getting closer to Froome!Roglic has an open streak of 7 consecutive podiums in GTs he has finished between 2019 and now. The only longer streak this century was achieved by Chris Froome (9) between 2013 and 2018.
To never resume again? Thus the Roglic streak of podium or hospital ends.
It shall restart. The excitement is finding out if it's by way of podium or by way of hospitalTo never resume again?
In most sports longevity actually trends up, so a metric that's basically a career volume of a certain level still stemming from the 1950s is much more shocking for me than Nibali being 2 podiums away from it.Honestly all these GT records are so incredibly low, truly only waiting for someone to completely demolish them. The fact that a rider of Nibalis caliber is only two podiums off the record is astounding.
But that's the thing, most of the top spots are not taken by modern day greats but then you have Nibali who is argubly a distant 3rd best gc rider of his own era and yet he comes so close. It's a bit as if despite the dominance of Federer, Nadal and Djokovic, Murray actually held the record for most GS semifinal appearences. In most sports longevity actually trends up, so a metric that's basically a career volume of a certain level still stemming from the 1950s is much more shocking for me than Nibali being 2 podiums away from it.
Perhaps it's just to much to expect a rider to score a high percentage of podiums and high number of races. But that's the thing, most of the top spots are not taken by modern day greats but then you have Nibali who is argubly a distant 3rd best gc rider of his own era and yet he comes so close. Also Nibali was neither extremely young when he started scoring podiums nor is he seen as an example of extreme longevity. I just find it very curious that there has never been an outlier of someone consistently getting podiums and having a very long career. Like a version of Valverde who actually scores Vuelta podiums year in and year out (Essentially Valverde if he was as good of a gc rider as Enric Mas).
