With Rossi out for the next 4 weeks or so the Championship should open up for some of the other riders. I do not see Pedrosa winning it. He never does well in the rain and there will surely be a few wet tracks before the season is over.

I hope to see Spies win a race before the end of the year, elbows can ride like no one I have seen since Scott Ru$$ell. He is great at pushing the limits of his bikes and becoming comfortable with them. Once he gels with the GP bike he will be a force to be reckoned with.

Lorenzo should win the Championship with Dovisioso and Hayden giving Pedrosa a run at the end of the year. If Stoner gets things sorted out then all bets are off.

Rossi will be something special on the Ducati.

For sure!!! But I think Rossi is something special no matter what he's riding. ;)
Only thing I worry about is that Rossi and Stoner might get into trouble if their battling at the front all the time, we'll see how the red bikes run, they were crap this last season.

Here's Rossi in full Ducati test mode..

Well, that didn't work out all that great for Michael now did it. :D Just hope that doesn't happen to Rossi.

Well, car was not really good. Rosberg was often little bit quicker but not really fast and it was not easy for Schumi after the break.
Mercedes has to design a car for Schumi's handling. This needs time and I doubt that Rosberg can handle this car.

Schumis cars were quick, but undriveable for many teammates because Schumi sets his car up for the limit.
Teammates always "complained" about that. Undriveable.

We'll see next season.

That's how I felt about Ducati this year. Stoner and Hayden were complaining about straight line speed of the bikes for the 1st half of the season. What are the Dukes known for?... fastest bike in a straight line. They were consistently being out muscled by Yamaha and Honda in the straights, which was really weird to see. With Rossi on board they better sort that out.

Favorite GP riders

I always liked Max Biaggi, Valentino Rossi, and Scott Russell back in the day. Also, Mick Doohan could ride the heck out of a 500 two stroke!!!

I liked Biaggi and Rossi so much, I named two of my three Italian Greyhounds Biaagi and Rossi!! The third I named Bella, short for "Belicima" (sp??) which means "Beautiful" in Italian.:D

Another Rossi fan checking in, and I've seen 'em all come & go - from Hailwood on the Super-6 Honda (1st ever UK showing at Brands), Agostini, Ivy, Read, Redman, Transatlantic Series (featuring Gene Romero, Dcik(sic) Mann, Cal Rayborn, Yvon Duhamel, Pat Hennen, Dave Aldana & others for the US team, Ron Haslam, Steve Parrish, John "Mooneyes" Cooper, Pete Williams, Paul Smart, Ray Pickrell, Barry Sheene & others for the UK), Fast Freddie Spencer, Lawson, Gardner, Doohan, Rainey, Schwantz, Roberts, Mamola...

All gods on 2 wheels, but Tino just has it...for the corkscrew on Stoner, the Barcelona last corner on Lorenzo, the many many Gibernaus...just a few highlights from an amazing career that sadly is nearly done. :D
