Searched the whole forum and didn't quite find this one being discussed, apologies if it's been posted before. But just...Wow.

Wow, that was like a big FU to the UCI knowing full well they wouldn't be caught.

This video is evidence enough for me, I would convict for mechanical doping if I were on a tribunal.

Unreal....

that explains why brits dont dope.
Funny, but in fact that's Daniel McLay. Hailing from Great Britain.

I've never heard of him but there's lot's of riders that ride lower tiered races that dope with the best of them. This video hopefully put's him on the hotseat where he belongs.

Can you hear me UCI???

They don't need to. A guy with Dan's massive ability getting past a few second rate sprinters. Nothing unusual there. Workaday stuff to him. Keep watching and hoping

How is it that 'Dan' has 'massive ability' but the others are 'second rate sprinters', but they're all in the same race? Can you give some examples that make everyone but 'Dan' second rate?

I don't have too. Like I said. Keep watching and hoping

I know what you're trying to get at but does being in the same race mean that they're all the same standard? Isn't the point of a race to decide who is better either on the day or generally?

He also said there's a rumour in the peloton that a victory at the Tour was achieved with motor help (did he mean Froome 2013?).
No, it was clearly implied the rumour was about Carlos Sastre in 2008.

Vannieuwkerke said something about "a rumour that a Tour de France was won with a motor", Tom Boonen said he also heard those rumours and a few minutes later Vannieuwkerke asked: "Who won the Tour in 2008?". Boonen replied "Sastre". So it was very clear they were suggesting that the rumours were about Sastre.

It's strange no media picked this up, because it was the first time I heard something about Sastre.

A part of the conversation
Vannieuwkerke: "They speak about the Tour 2008 where it is already used (...) Who won that Tour de France?"
Boonen: "Sastre"
Vannieuwkerke: "That name already circulated in the peloton, no?"

I love how the comment from six years ago (!!) says it looks like "mechanical doping".

He seems to point to the fact that his right hand goes to a different position just before he celebrates both hands in the air. From that position he could push a button with his right thumb like Femke seemed to be doing at the finish line. Froomey made a similar move on Ventoux exactly when this picture was taken.
