Thanks. So a motor on its own won't help more than old stuff, right?
A small one I guess no, it would only make a difference, which should be enough along with the old stuff. But that's not my area of expertise.
That could also be that a new stuff is replacing the old stuff. Or completing it. Who knows?

Ghost in the machine Lappartient episode is very telling; he doesn't want every bike tested but only bikes of suspicion. Literally that is what he said.

He also says the amount of bike changes makes it harder. And that the ipads aren't effective.

There really are so many loop holes here.

But you need so little capacity to make a huge difference it's pretty unreal.

I'm not an expert in batteries but a hypothetical 10-minute 30-watt boost requires at least 18kJ of energy or 5Wh (probably more due to efficiency). I have no idea how small a battery like that can be, trying to find something over the internet.

EDIT: I found some small batteries (a few thousand mAh and 1,5V) with the biggest dimension (height) of 5-6 cm.

Not sure if you noticed but it was even picked up by david Millar on commentary that in the Alps (not sure exact stage(18 or 19?) that vingegaard bridged across to 2 team mates at different times(might have be one). One was defiantly Jorgenson. One of them (clear as day pressed a button on there computer when they got joined by vingegaard and pogacar and once they got dropped pressed the computer again. They stayed at the front for a good period of time too before being dropped.

Millar laughed and said they will be measuring there watts for the effort they are putting in. Im starting to wander if there were "activating" something. Cant see the button pressing on short highlights on youtube though.

Whats your thoughts? I think there is something big going on here amongst the peloton and cant put my finger on it. Got to be mechanical doping with how fast there going compared to the free for all years ago.

Update = Ok found video on Youtube. Stage 16 it was tiesj benoot who pressed the computer when he got joined and got dropped. I have watched that much of it couldnt remember the stage or person. He joined with campenaerts also at another point in the race. Way to watch highlights as not sure he done it too.

UPDATE *****ITVX Highlights stage 16. at 20:03 tiesj benoot gets dropped and presses his computer. He 100% pressed computer when he was originally joined but dont see it on highlights. I rember this as it was picked up by David Millar as I said earlier. Campenaerts presses button when joined by Vingegaard at 21:56. Campenaerts then presses button when dropped at 26:08.

WOW is all I can say. Measuring power output or activating something?!?! Opinions??

You heard it here first........motors in the wheel hubs. I would guess who was the first person to use motors, it then spread to a top team but wont mention names. Now it is in the whole peloton.

First mainstream media article I've seen in the US about potential motor doping in the Washington Post yesterday. Obviously nothing new for us, just mentioning it to indicate it has gained that amount of attention.

Having Raudenski (ex Homeland Security) as the hook for American readers, is logical. A few titbits of info -
https://archive.is/20250726170408/h...d/2025/07/25/tour-france-bikes-hidden-motors/
“If people are watching the Tour at home, or they’re out here braving the heat, they need to be confident that what they see is legitimate, that it’s credible,” said Raudenski. “Without controls, it turns into a circus.
Have I got news for you! :D
UCI announced last year that it would pay informants and whistleblowers who have information about mechanical doping. Raudenski wouldn’t disclose what information those sources have offered but said, “We have people reaching out all the time.
A good way to put suspicion on another team (who remembers the UCI's suspicion's list here?) and throw some muck.
