He is gonna win Flanders some day I'm pretty sure. I think he is build for monuments. But yeah Paris Roubaix I have my doubts about.
Maybe in a couple of years Paris-Roubaix will suit him more, but he is listed for it now and the De Brabantse Pijl three days later.

Hmm, I doubt he will do both and would probably prefer he does De Brabantse Pijl followed by Amstel right now.

But who knows, he has a great engine and the technique to ride on the cobbles. He just finished 5th in the fastest edition of RVV and in tough conditions. We might be underestimating what he can do in PR already.

Really curious to see how he performs in Robauix.

Wellens was saying he would have a protected status and the belief is that hes better suited for Robauix.
Positioning is arguably more important in Roubaix than in Flanders and Morgado doesn't strike as someone who's paritcularly skilled in that regard (for now). He was always too far from the front when approaching the bergs on Sundays, I think he started the second Kwaremont behind 50 riders at least. The team will have to support him before Arenberg so it's nice to hear he'll be a protected rider.

Anyway from what I've see thus far his durability must be off the charts despite the young age. If he manages to be in the leading group or close enough after Arenberg he can get an excellent result.

Does anyone know what's going on with him? He had a great start to the season and was looking like a million bucks, but since April he has just gotten worse and worse, even struggling to finish races lately.

They are breaking him down so that they can build him up. He will no longer be David Webb.

He's an absolute clown is what happened.

He could've been in the mix right at the end today but decided to throw in about 100 attacks and do loads of work in every group.

Anyway he got really sick before Avenir and is only just returning to form

Antonio Morgado sounds like an exciting talent in cycling! Coming from a strong Portuguese team like CC de Bairrada and showing impressive potential at such a young age is promising. His ambition to win Grand Tours, especially the Tour de France, combined with his ability to keep up with elite riders like Pogacar, highlights his capability. It will be interesting to see how he performs in the Avenir Tour and beyond! He looked strong in Paris-Tours yesterday, but timed his attack badly and then he got a mechanical not long after he got caught by the peloton. He would've surely been in the second group without that.

He will be a outsider for Gran Piemonte and Giro del Veneto

I was already super impressed with Morgado's fifth place in Flanders last season but this year he seems to be climbing even better, today he got the biggest win of his career in home soil, looking forward for more!

Such a beast already. And it seems like hes even taking good steps from last year, this one has a bright future for sure
He was able to follow everything and when he got some separation, he really really worked to get into a groove, he worked super hard for the victory, well deserved and looked in control and smooth, crushing the gear until the line!!!

He seems like a mid-season rider. Last year, he also disappeared after the spring classics.

This course was ideal for him. In spring, he would have been in top 10.

Does anyone know what's wrong? He was a boss in January and February and has disappeared completely since then, except for two won groups sprints for 3rd place. Mistiming of his form? But then he should be able to peak again in the fall. It was also an issue last year.

What’s going on with Morgado?
Was unstoppable in January and February.
Been nowhere since….

Morgado has looked like a sour puss the few times I've seen him on a podium. He doesn't show any enthusiasm for the sponsors or the audience. I wonder if Morgado's lack of results is more mental / emotional than physical.
