he'll never be a leader in the Ardennes Classics, and at GT there will always be a leader for a GC in a team like UAE.

We disagree about what kind of rider he is or we simply talk about two different things. Hes a flemmish classic rider, strong, powerful with good endurance to me. To make it easy, RVV-Roubaix guys, I think he will be a good climber in that context thats not the same as in the context of the Seixas, Ciccone of the world you know, huge difference.

I dont see Morgada winning any Ardennes anywhere certaintly not Fleche and Liege thats not the type he is. Ive only seen you bring that up tho and never seen anyone else even mentioning that.

The same will happen in the other Classics you mention. He has riders like Wellens ahead of him in the hierarchy. If Vermeersch makes declarations about co-leading with Pogacar, imagine with Morgado. LOL

That's in the Classics, not the Monuments. In Flanders and Roubaix, as long as Pogacar is there, he won't have another opportunity like he Flanders in 2024.
He's a rider who's been developing since he was very young. Next year, he should aim for more than just leading these early-season races.
This isn't like leading a Tour de France; in Del Toro's case, I think he'll need more time for that.
In the classics, if he's ready, now's the time; don't spend years in a team that gives him his greatest freedom in Spain and Portugal in February.

I dont think hes ready to lead those races anywhere anyway now besides a top 5 if hes lucky in RVV, ages also builds engine there usually which helps but nvm that wasnt my point lets see.

Hes mega talented atm nothing else and I only tried to explain what I meant by climbing in reference to him that I think he will be a durable climber in the context of the RVV-Roubaix guys and not real climbers.

We agree that we both think Ardennes is to hard for him and dont see him as that kinda rider all good.

Maybe not, or maybe it's the Belgian Valverde. He can't depend on that.
There's also Narváez, who's younger than Welles; he was included in Omloop , so he'll be pretty much recovered from his injury.

How many years can Morgado afford to wait for Wellens not to be a rider like Valverde? From what I saw yesterday, Wellens looks like he'll be more like Valverde than Sagan with an early decline.

We're talking about a guy who, at 18, looked like the father of all the other Junior competitors .He has developed physically so young that he can´t be wasting these years.
A third year leading in Spain and Portugal in 2027 seems like a waste of time to me.

There were conflicts with Ayuso due to his personality, but that was somewhat expected because he was another rider who was too developed as a Junior . Morgado's case was even more pronounced. Morgado may not have the same conflicts that Ayuso, but a talent like that needs more space.

Remember Flanders 2024, 5th. That day he benefited from the help of several teammates, but someone who finishes fifth in Flanders at that age should be aiming to be a leader in other classics.

Benoot also finished fifth in his first Flanders and he has been more a domestique than a leader.
Morgado's talent is theoretically superior, but as long as he doesn't have freedom and has Wellens, Narvaez, and Vermeersh with their ambitions, he'll be overshadowed. The year he had a bit more freedom, he finished fifth in his first Flanders.
