I recently rediscovered Beatsteaks. I own their album "Living Targets" but then when they became really famous and everyone started listening to them I lost interest Didn't even know they played at Rock am Ring last year! Must have been a great show though:

Been listening to this a great deal this week. Last Saturday I did a 450 km round trip to Belgium to see Michael Burks play. As I knew him and his keyboard player personally, I had some quality time with both of them. Less than a day later, he collapsed and died of a heart attack at Atlanta airport at the ridiculously young age of 54. I was devastated, and pretty much still am. No film of mine has ever had so many hits in a few days. Michael will be sorely missed by Blues lovers. His tone was stellar, and he was an exceptionally nice and kind human being.
