There was a two hour Grunge special on the radio last night - it was good to relive the '90's.
Melvins ~ Euthanasia

The Melvins are one of those bands who have always had some great tunes but never a consistently great album (except Lysol, even though the best track is the Flipper cover, but I do love me some Flipper), but only recently found this doozy of a rarity from an Amphetamine Reptile compilation.

.....geez, first you call an all-Merican patriot first class a "little war whore" and then you call Neil Young's greatest album like ever, hellish, like its better than any album Bach ever put out eh, and Bach was pretty good, virtually invented Western music as we know it and everything....

....you having a bad day or something.....

Cheers

Scientists will explain to you that Bach might have "discovered" modern music. Not invented.

That album sux balz. He may as well have been hanging with Page blowing rails and groupies.

As for musty truffle, he could have gone dozens of ways, but chose to dig in and repress. Tant pis.

..."scientists" eh, mkay, funny, was always under the mistaken impression this was more the province of ethnomusicologists and their fellow travellers, sorry....and "discovered", like what, he was rummaging in the basement of some old church and stumbled onto a pile of mouldy ancient sheet music or something like modalities or scales or harmony etc etc etc .....cool.....and funny deux, I had always thought composing was more like invention rather than discovery ....and funny trois, music composition does sit in the IP part of the legal world, discovery doesn't...read you can patent an invention but you can't patent a discovery....so there is that... however I defer to your superior judgement and will change my tune... :D ....

....and to the bolded add screw the record company well and as well....which is how I view it....it was a great fukc-u....and as an added bonus it pissed off a bunch of critics who at that point in history considered themselves gate keepers of the highest order....but were little more than pretentious prats trying desperately to be part of the then burgeoning rock industry.....

Cheers

Hey. It still sucked. You going to link Fleetwood Mac's deluxe Tango in the Night now? Music critics then sucked too.

Anna Zaradny, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vgIndh-q0Q4

....you know I'm getting the feeling you aren't really in mad passionate love with that album....am I right ?.....or you just pulling our collective legs ?....

....kinda curious, how does Anna Zaradny sit with the critics....?.....

Cheers
