. The performer on the original version is of course Edda Sabatini (better known as Edda Dell'Orso after her marriage). She was great too but I love Patricia's performance better.
I really like the sung version "Un jour tu reviendra" by Mireille Mathieu. She really sung with her guts and brought a lot of drama into it:
Mireille Mathieu sings Ennio Morricone (at 1.40) Dulce Pontes, not bad but I prefer Mireille Mathieu by a country mile.
Hayley Westenra is not bad either but not as powerful as Patricia.
