Flawless! I cannot believe she was just 12 at that time. :surprised: Beautiful soprano voice, Ennio loved bringing soprano vocals on his music . The performer on the original version is of course Edda Sabatini (better known as Edda Dell'Orso after her marriage). She was great too but I love Patricia's performance better.

I really like the sung version "Un jour tu reviendra" by Mireille Mathieu. She really sung with her guts and brought a lot of drama into it: Mireille Mathieu sings Ennio Morricone (at 1.40) Dulce Pontes, not bad but I prefer Mireille Mathieu by a country mile.

Hayley Westenra is not bad either but not as powerful as Patricia.

You can hear the guys jamming on whatever instrument they were playing at the time.

(Not too opposed to the version where they had brought some sista soul back vocals into the song, however.)

Sure, the original and her story is great. The problem then is with Bryan out and a misguided (except Beggars) attempt to compete w/ the Beatles in the studio; it's an always open question how they could move the songs to a live context.
