I know I had mentioned this band a dozen times before, but the most fun bar band I had ever seen, and always made sure I had attended their gigs whenever they were playing up in Seattle, was Dead Moon. Sadly, 2/3 of them are no longer with us.

Your fave bar band, if you were into such a thing when you were young(er)?

This band has good song writing for my taste, I can listen to them for days because they really establish a mood. Newest release has ..If I Get High..and a couple others that are really good songs, It doesn't always strike me, but when it does I really enjoy it. I feel like it's a strange vocal connection to Radiohead that I liked when it came out. And some bands like Heartless Bastards or Alabama Shakes, I just am attracted to because of strong female richness of the voice

Her voice here (for me) gets to a space that’s more like Buckley’s in part. Maybe that’s some of the richness you mean. It’s easier to meet and harmonize with but not step on it.

Talking about the PacNoWest at large and whether I’d spent time in Tacoma (as you had.) And then the pandemic took off. There was an Olympia, Tacoma, Vashon nexus, but that era always reads black for me. As with the coming music.

Ah, your memory is better than mine, but I do remember we were discussing music and then you left this place. Speaking of place, while we can no longer PM here a Discord server had been created for CN members where we can PM, you're welcome to join! https://discord.com/invite/3nRHM6d4qS

Somewhat back on topic, Silly Rabbit was another fave Seattle bar band of mine back in the nineties, really fun live act. I can't find a vid of theirs though because I think they were much too small, and apparently now there is another Seattle band called Silly Rabbit. :expressionless:
