Ever heard of Lollywood? It's the P a k i s t a n i Bollywood, but from the capital of Lahore. This stuff is simply amazing, seems to be layered better than the Indian stuff, more robust and interesting listening. From the late 70's.

This stupid language filter is blocking P a k i s t a n i, the reason for the spacing. How stupid is that?

Sly and the Family Stone from Woodstock. Simply amazing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Twh45yX2Kj8

That set me off on a one hour musical tour which ended up at this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LASyKEjteRc
The Pretenders, like the Allman Bros., were never able to maintain their initial promise. Each one lost their musical compass after their second album. James Honeyman-Scott and Pete Farndon for the Pretenders and Duane Allman and Berry Oakley for the Allmans were in each case the musical heart of their bands, and the bass and lead guitars as well. Who knows what they might have done?
And then there is this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bhcl-TP4Yqc
