Wow, thanks for that Jacques Brel mention.

Did you know that Jacques Brel's Amsterdam soundes a bit like Beethoven's Irish song "Since greybeards inform us that youth will decay": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NE7qH3nSmwU :)

However I prefer Jacques Brel as an actor personally, especially in Édouard Molinaro's "L'emmerdeur": , in which he co-starred his good friend Lino Ventura: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ma4fJC6h50

A great comedy based on the straight-man/funny-man dynamic, the comedy double act like clown shows, one intelligent guy who controls his partner (Ventura) and a funny guy who does all the idiocies putting the straight man into trouble (Brel).

Cheers
that track takes a while to get going, but then there's a nice 'batman soundtrack' feel to it (the old television series, that is).

On a side, "album never released to cd due to right issues"?

(everything must go = britpop with actually good lyrics/music.)

Also, I note earlier in this thread discussions of 'Lola', a song I love so much that I named my puppy (who is unquestionably a girl, for the record) after it. That makes it hard to listen to it with her in earshot, though.
