Husker Du songs that Grant penned. RIP.
This is a real sad one for me, I love Hüsker Dü. The interplay between Bob's furious delivery and Grant's power pop sensibilities, the energy, the melody. The foundation that Greg laid, both musically and personally, that kept the simmering tension between Bob and Grant from collapsing into chaos.

@blutto, it's quite prodigious of you to listen to so many overlapping songs. Like an installation piece. Or a rubber room.

All personal tensions and substance issues aside, they were a band that fell to the side of many 80s trends and didn't fully get the credit they deserved for being so thrashy and melodically aware. Part of that was their presentation (or lack thereof) and niches of the time.
