just downloaded this unplugged album. It's been a decade or more since i lost it.

track: the old laughing lady' and for all those who have been tricked by her

this live album, is one (imo) the best.

old laughing lady was a cheap, sweet wine. Winos could not afford the best places to stay. Some of them lived in old apartment buildings near railroad tracks. "Rumbling in the bedroom and flashing lights" were caused by the trains passing by. The old laughing lady gave him respite, peace, sleep and eventually, death.

and

you know i lose, you know i win, you know i call for the shape i'm in, is just a game you see me play, only real in the way that i feel from day to day

Arcade Fire "The Suburbs" pretty much every day since it was released start of August.

Good one. I really like Ready To Start off that release. Other than that I've been listening to a lot of alternative lately. Like:
Artic Monkeys - Crying Lightning (Humbug album)
Broken Bells - High Road, Ghost Inside (Broken Bells album)
Gorillaz - Rhinestone Eyes (Plastic Beach album), Clint Eastwood
Interpol - Success
Franz Ferdinand - Lucid Dreams
Strokes, and Modest Mouse - various

Sailing to Nowhere is Broken Bells' best song in my opinion-- overall good album.

Interpol's new album is OK-- first four songs are pretty good, take or leave the rest.

Fake Problems - Songs for Teenagers

I've also been listening to "The Suburbs" the past few days. I'd say it's better than "Neon Bible".

I would agree with that though it took me a few listens to really get into "the Suburbs", definitely a grower. Also agree with the poster who liked "Ready to Start", love it.

Hard to compare AF albums, "Suburbs" is so different from "Funeral" but both are brillant in their own way. "Neon Bible" is inferior but still a good album with some standout tracks.

Ya, I have to agree on the new Interpol album. And BB's Sailing to Nowhere is definately a creative, interesting song. Not my fav, but it'll do.

Attention Mods. this thread suggests music with bad language and some suggestive lyrics and dirty dancing. please close it to protect our children.

Someone even listens to rave and trance, clearly a gateway drug to all things evil

Rediculous. I'm a dad too, but you have to log on to the forum. Don't you keep your user ID and password safe from your kids? C'mon pops, tighten up your ship.
