Thirty-two years ago today, Lowell George, the legendary guitarist/singer/songwriter of one of America's greatest ever bands, Little Feat, died at the much too young age of 34.

He truly was, the Rock n' Roll Doctor.

Waiting for Columbus. One of the greatest live records I have ever heard. I wore that sucker out in college. Jackson Browne wrote a pretty good tribute song to him to honor his contributions. But his music speaks for itself. What a treat to have him while we did.

Take a listen to Waiting for Columbus if you haven't or haven't lately to enjoy a truly excellent live rock and roll performance.

The Jezabels are pretty good. Nice to see they get some love around here.

I've been listening to a whole lot of Lonely Island lately :)o), but to make up for that now I'm listening to Angelina Carberry & Martin Quinn. I'm also still kind of in a bluegrass/old-time mood so I've been listening to Old Crow Medicine Show and the United Steel Workers of Montreal.
