Thirty-two years ago today, Lowell George, the legendary guitarist/singer/songwriter of one of America's greatest ever bands, Little Feat, died at the much too young age of 34.

Yeah, 16 Horsepower ain't the worst thing in the world. David Eugene Edwards seems like a scary character though. Here's a clip from Jim White's great documentary "Searching for the Wrong Eyed Jesus", with DEE and his banjo playing "Wayfaring Stranger" amongst others.

The violinist is classically trained, the bassist is his daughter. I saw him recently with cello, violin and tuba as added players. They seriously kick a** live.
