Sorry to derail the electronica train with folk-rock ;) but have just found Gentle Spirit by Jonathan Wilson. Truly beautiful.

And Jose Gonzalez finally found time to finish the Junip project, Fields. It's well worth the wait.

liked that. impressed by how much good music you can find by searching for letterman live on you tube.

respect to the drummer.

saw the black keys for the first time on TV the other day and now working my way through some of their old songs

love the second video

So true about Letterman, and the drummer. Black Keys now are interesting and the more I hear of their stuff the more I like them.

Sort of like this one... Sugar Ray - someday

Thanks for posting. You might be interested in the nominees for the Blues Awards, which for the very first time include my main man, Joe B, in two categories!

I highly recommend this little clip, two great guitarists (one established, one up and coming) paying tribute to the one and only, legendary Rory Gallagher.

How about something like this:
Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Christmas Canon Rock
Kind of Pachelbel-ish. You might need to listen to the first couple minutes to get the whole flavor.

My choir recently sang a version of "The First Nowell" using Pachelbel as a harmony. I have to admit that The White Stripes are much more my sort of thing ;)

I like "Stop the Cavalry" though.

Here are a couple of seasonal offerings. Someone recently said they didn't really like Elton John. I like his early stuff, but here is the best thing he's done for years (OK, I am a huge Kate Bush fan)
Kate Bush and Elton John - Snowed in at Wheeler Street

Given my penchant for 20th century Russian music
Prokoviev - Trojka from "Lieutenant Kije"

That entire Kate Bush cd has been haunting me since I first played it. Really quite beautiful music, especially "Misty" and "Snowflake".

Dylan and Cash :) My German is good enough to understand the titles . I'll have to brush up my German as I might be coming back here for a longer period in just over a year.

Here's a song about your adopted city (but in French)
Jacques Brel - Amsterdam

Anyway, better get back to work as we're supposed to finish a paper by the end of the week and then I can party a bit

I am definetly not listening to Reece Mastin. He is a disgrace as being on the Top of I Tunes top songs.

He is crap. What is even sadder is how defensive the fangirls are of him. You very rarely have found any decent singers out of those shows.

In other news, Australian music icon Molly Meldrum has fallen off a ladder and is in a critical condition tonight. He is currently in an induced coma. Best of luck Molly!
