Trouble is, many ppl there are really not prepared for that sort of thing partly because Seattle does not get a lot of snow. Other trouble is, there are enough hills around there that trying to find an alternate route to avoid the steep roads is a bit like trying to pick the lesser of two evils. Essential winter driving gear = studded snow tires on all 4, chains in the trunk, plus a little bag of snow melt in the trunk. Then hit the ski slopes. Nice Geritol music though.
