A joy to watch, poetry - made Hesjedal and Rolland look like hairy legged pedal mashers as they tried to cling to his wheel :D

Excellent post as usual Libertine, I agree completely.
he is strong enough to win this giro. Right now yesterday's work placed him in second place, he now has to win by more than 2 minutes to make up for the stain. He can do that , i am sure

If i'd be Quintana i 'd simply stop in froint of the finish line today and wait for 2 minutes.

lol he get's paid to win, not to be some kind of nice guy. If I'd be Quintana I'd sprint at the finish line to get a few extra seconds

In a stage like today's, does that matter at all? Aren't all time differences from the last km ignored/removed?

I think Quintana will win unless he has a bad , bad day and blows up.

I would like to see now if his team reconsiders and allow him to battle Contador in July ?

That would be stupid,as Alberto would smash him big time.:D Quintana is still very young and he hasnt got sufficient recovery to do rosa-jaune double. It would be something like 2011.Alberto would have been on podium if there wasnt that injury imo,but he was 29 that year and his recovery is one of the best in this sport.IMO Nairo can try it some day,but he need to wait few years.
And imo it will be better if he does Vuelta espana, cuz there he should have great opponent Purito and few others from Tour.

The biggest reason why this won't happen is Piti of course,he wants to be leader. So its practicaly impossible.;)

I certainly hope the smashing exists in July too :D:D

well now looks like his youngster will be the one who becomes a Grand Tour winner. Movistar now is like wiggin-froome in sky, except they both are quite good in the mountain and the age different is the factor. Quintana is definitely the future and valverde is about to ride to the sunset. :D

it won't happen but if one rider is able tyod o the double it's quintana. he hasn't gone 100% anywhere except 1 stage and will win without having to dig deep. send him back to colombia to rest and train and then bam july I would like to see how strong he is.

I think he would be on podium(if la Ronca won't be in great postion after cobbles and TT) right behind Contador and Froome.Considering leadership,no illness and not going all out in on Grappa and Zoncolan.

edit: on the other hand I would rather see him do that in 2016 orso, and be in suspense for 2 years ;)

what? quintana is already better climber than froome. see final stages of the tour and he's only 23. quintana is the best climber I've sene since pantani. he will become a legend

Ryo - you may have gotten this one right. He is certainly headed in the "legend" direction. If he can keep it up year after year, eh?

Anyway, you had your crystal ball on the right channel the day you posted this. Chapeau.
