Good ride. Could be 1st or even 5th
You think he will keep 53 seconds against TD?
No, did I say that?
You said he could be 1st???
Yes, its still possible, but nowhere did I say I think he actually is gonna hold on to it. Will be close to impossible, shouldn't be too hard to comprehend.

Okay. You are taking mechanical/crash etc. into account.

I think right now he's more likely to finish 5th than 1st. Most likely either 3rd or 4th.

Only the TT of his life can save him.

It's Sastre V Evans all over again 2008 Tour but the circumstances were different. The gap was about the same. That result shocked me and I would be shocked again if Quintana held on.

Evans was a pretty good time trialist though. Dumoulin is elite.

Neither do I. Quintana doesn't deserve to win Il Giro...

Why? Nibali is the only other GC contender that has attacked as much as Quintana. Which means that, unless you're a hypocrite, no riders deserve the win in your opinion.

I get that Quintana didn't have the legs to do more. Or maybe I don't. Whenever there was an attack that he wanted to follow he followed it easily. Which suggests he had something left in the tank. But if he had he would surely attack? But if... see I'm in a confused circle here!

Tom is not the most consistent TTist ever. Evans had an off day. More than possible with Tom too.

The thing is Tom on an off day and Quintana on a good day would still mean about 70 seconds difference.

And he won't, but I saw him trying
I don't see him so gritty or determinated as pinot or nibali in those last two stages. He always responded well and put some fists but...buh.
Maybe it 's just one of his "attribute", as the fact it's always so hard to drop

He seems stronger in one week races than in gt's...
I think he will never win a gt again. Colombians normally are known for peaking at young age

He only lost 1:33 that day. Stage was 16km longer aswell.

Hmm 38.7 - 29.3 = 16? Here I thought it was 9.4. If you prorate that 1:33 he still loses 70 seconds.
