I thin it's smart of Quintana to build his season up slowly. Obviously 2017 was a huge *** up for him, but the worrying thing would be that he missed his peak in 2016 too in the Tour. I'm pretty sure a more traditional build up with the Dauphine would do him well.
He'll have a great team in the mountains, and I don't doubt Valverde's support. Landa is a bit of a wildcard honestly, but so much depends on how the cobbles stage goes.
If anything is gonna hurt Quintana's chances at the Tour it's gonna be a team that's probably gonna be a little light on rouleurs. Cobbles are a huge wild card, especially if they're wet. They also come pretty late into the Tour. Man I hate that that stage is the same date as the World Cup final and the Wimbledon final.
