The sickest part about the Zabriskie is the only time he has lost since 2006 is the 2010 when he didn't even participate because he was participating in the Giro. Not really sure what happened in 2005 lol.

I'm rooting for Ted King or some domestic guy.

IIRC Zabriskie had to choose between riding the Nat TT and the inaugural Eindhoven TTT which was either the day before the Nats or something so he couldn't sensibly do both. He chose to ride the TTT as it was a dry run for the TTT at Le Tour.

I'm good at useless information retainment :D

Andrew Talansky was 1:30 down in 8th. What's up with that? He was flying in Romandie.

He obviously peaked for Romandie and now his shape is going down.

Dutch National Championship profile and exact route is not yet known, but we do have this quote:
Actually, the profile has been out for a while, this is it:

Really hard course. An Aussie woman riding for Rabobank said it made the Buninyong circuit look easy.

I'll be at the start/finish for the road race as well

If it was anything like the end of AToC in Los Angeles, then the podium girl got soaked.

From what I've heard/read podium girls, and everyone within a radius of ten miles*, get soaked every time this guy gets close to a bottle of champagne!

*This might, or might not, be slightly exagarating!

From the sound of it this helling will rightfully be named Devils forest, peaking up to 20 percent it's going to be a really hard road race if they tackle that 20+ times (assuming a 200+ km race), expect a climber to win the championship here. Should be good if we get to see a Dutch national champion be at the pointy end of a mountain stage in a GC or perhaps lombardia.
The race will take place on the 23rd and 24th of June.

Gesink, Mollema and maybe Hoogerland seem like favourites.

Belgian course is out to. It has to be one of the most boring courses you could come up with!

You could call it a 'city'-course, except that the place (Geel) only has 35.000 inhabitants.

This is the profile:

Heh, I made a profile myself, but it wasn't worth posting. Yours describes it perfectly. Start/Finish is at 20m altitude, the lap never goes above 25m. Bunchsprint seems a certainty, espessially if Omega-QST and Lotto take control of the race immediately. Let's not forget Wilfried Peeters (OPQST DS) supported the Geel candidacy to organise this BK, so he probably had a say in the parcours as well (and, well, Boonen is a good sprinter :) )

I think I might watch the Dutch championships instead this year (is it broadcasted on NOS or so?), should be a much more fun race to follow than this one. :(

The only time Boonen became Belgian champion was on a very hilly course in Aiywaille. He doesn't need races to be tailor made for him.

Scary pothole there.

I just realized that a mollema / gesink / kruijswijk might not even ride the Nat. Championships. It's on June 24th, barely a week before the start of the TdF.

EDIT:

@ OP: could you add that they will do 22 laps on the profile you have posted, it's the profile for 1 lap.

someone calculated 155 Height meters per lap for a total of 3400 meters of altitude gain.

Of course they will, they always do. Last year Gesink even rode it when he returned from altitude just one day before (and he paid for it).

Oh good, It's sad to see the big names skipping a Nat. Championship for other races. Really looking forward to see who will win the jersey!

I'm sorry, but that coverage is ****ing awful. Nice that they are streaming it for free, but it's impossible to tell anything about what's going on. No gaps or anything, no info, apparently no camera-motos? and you can hardly see anyting from the heli because of all the trees.

eta: and the commentators know nothing also.

Yea, they seem to be using the camera from the 80's or have some kind of make it look years old video footage filter. Makes on wonder if any possible decent announcer is working else where and we get these or this guy instead. :(
