I think the Schlecks live on the Antilles as well?

But they're still Luxembourg riders...

No he is the only pro. So he always wins. :p

I can just imagine:
de Maar is attacking! But de Maar counters!

Actually there are 10/12 competitors. But they all suck.
2 years ago at the road race he wasn't sure what to expect so he just went full out from the start. Ended up riding the rest at 30 minutes

I kinda like the idea of a litteral one-man-show...

is he going to the Olympics?

I don't think so, Netherlands Antilles (AHO) are not on the list of participants, maybe they failed to qualify in continental championships as de Maar is mainly racing abroad

edit: okay, I wasn't aware of the political situation, Netherlands Antilles doesn't even exist anymore...on Wikipedia it says: "At the 2012 Olympics, participants from the 5 islands can compete as independent athletes under the Olympic flag." But I have no idea if de Maar is eligible to do so

De Maar tried to win the Pan-American championships. That gives right for an Olympic spot. But he failed in both ITT and RR. He did win the pan-american GAMES, but that's a different race.

Churandy Martina (the 200 m runner) used to compete for the Antilles, but in London he'll compete for Holland. I don't know what his other options were?

Marc de Maar however is the champion of Curaçao nowadays. Not AHO. And Curaçao is now an independant country. The other antilles have become special cities of the Netherlands.

Looks like tomorrow's national championship in Norway will be extremely wet and unseasonably cold (10 degrees). Could make for some entertaining racing, but certainly not good news for us planning to watch it. Quite a summer, this...

looked up weather for dutch national championships when i saw this. 95% chance of rain during the day. going to be a wet race, which won't make the steep ramps any more appealing.

There's nothing unseasonable about 10 degrees and rain in Bergen, whatever the season...

Is there any hope of a stream that isn't restricted to Norway?

Great, a doper, cheater, stealer of other rider's right to success, won the italian RR.

I hate 2 year bans, at least 4 years and a super heavy financial penalty.

And **** Vino too, I hate that ****ing cheater. Can't stand seeing that goat ****er pretending to act like a decent bloke worthy of respect. Go back being a goat herder you old ****head.

Yeah, I know I'm druck.

And EBh, I have listened to the guy, seems like he missed out on elementary education, he sounds and act like a f**king ***.

Lets make it easy, **** everyone!!!

**** mee too, whining ****.

Ok I live 40km from Kerkrade and it's raining cats and dogs here and there's a LOT of wind.

Dutch champs are going to be a massacre on tihs course with this weather

edit: in this weather I probably would have problems staying on my race bike. The wind gusts are immense here

Sounds like a perfect day for TGBM to wreck the field!

R. Kreder en Kroon out after a crash. And Johnny is already on the attack :D

Yeh pretty nasty crash in the 2nd round it seems.
Kelderman also behind the bunch because of that crash. I really hope for Kroon it isn't too bad as he's riding the Tour.

Let's there won't be anymore crashes. Allthough that seems to be unlikely on a course with small roads.

so which one will finish first?
dutch,belgian or french?

i remember last year i was watching the french one and it was a superb race.this year though the race is flat, long but flat.
the belgian...we already know the winner....tommeke will strike again...and the route is boring...although see last year...

so the dutch nationals it is.difficult route, now i hear, atrocious conditions....and the beast ready to eat those raboboys

i hope there will be plenty of live streams here :)

where do you follow it?
