TV stream for Slovak and Czech nationals. it should start on 12.00. Finish cc 17.00. Sagan and Velits might show some effort. I think it is nice to have the natinal tricolor on the jersey. ;)

Who are the favourites beside Sagan?(including czechs)

The race was only 400 metres old when Gesink crashed. Unbelievable, are there any other cyclist who are also having trouble with keeping on the bike as much as Bobby G?

Hope for him that it is only a minor injury.

Wow,speechless.

He crashes about once a year, which really isn't much, but yeah... once you have the image of a loser and a terrible bike handler, it's hard to get rid of it.

I agree that he doesn't crash more often then the average rider. However I do think that he is more easily fractured then the average rider. Physically and mentally. And due to his length it also looks more clumsy. He also crashes at moments that you don't expect it. Somehow I think that the image of terrible bike handler is not entirely untrue.

Comedy Capers ;)

I must say the NOS are contributing nicely to the 'Gesink is a loser' hype.

Well the guy crashed in the first 400 meters, and gave up in the giro when there's only 2 more days left.

The team doctor told him to abandon...

I think it's completely unfounded. I've seen him evade crashes in quite spectacular fashion. But yeah, he's tall and lanky, so when he crashes it's bound to be serious.

Well, the whole race can be won by any czech easily, as no slovak will be chasing. However, you can't really talk about favourites here, basically, upset might happen quite easily, but it's nearly anybody that can take care for that. Obviously, nobody want's to bring sagan to the athletic stadium finish with himself. Not even Velits.

There are a lot of crashes happening in neurtal/start zones of race, mostly we don't hear of it because there's no coverage yet. In the video it seems quite typical, full pack of riders, road narrows and bang! down he goes.

Maybe I am brainwashed by the Dutch media, but I can not remember a GT with Gesink not having any problems. I think he is more fragile then a lot of the competition.

That being said, I do not have researched his results if this is actually true. But it is something that (I think) more people feel when watching Gesink on a bike.

Hard to tell. There is no Czech cyklist from UCI Pro Tour teams here. (Štybar, Kreuziger, Raboň ). Also Koenig (Team NetApp-Endura) is missing. However there are strong czech teams here and they will try for breakway win. Kadlec (last year winner ) could be strong again this year.
Slovakia has all four ProTeams riders in this race. Sagans and Velits + there might be some good performance from Dukla Trenčin riders ( Bronis, Tybar ...)

I'll be shocked if Laura trott doesn't take the women's title. Sat on the back of the front four the last few laps with king driving the pace. No real chase from behind it seems.

Isn't Armitstead a better sprinter?

.

He should have abandoned a week earlier (stage santa won), he made the same mistake in the tour. It was obvious he was not at his best anymore, what was the point in staying then?

He wants to provide the Dutch cycling press with something to b.tch and moan about. He should just retire, they wouldn't know what to do with their time ;)

Which teammates? Will there be a stream? :)

Devenyns and Serry.

I don't think so, only sporza stream. Btw only 80 riders left, already 40 left the race an hour ago.
